Code Pink Retreats from Walter Reed-Freepers Win! (Week 40 Report at #1352)

I just received a phone call from Kristinn!!

The DC Chapter of Protest Warriors obtained a permit for Code Pink’s side of the street today after the Pinko’s forgot to renew their permit. The blood dancers tried to stick it out for about 20-25 minutes before they tucked tail and retreated a block away to the closed entrance. Freepers and Protest Warriors now have all four corners outside the main entrance to WRAMC!

Found that "yorra" word, or word used as a name, in some areas around the world that I am sure were accessed by Portuguese - and Spanish - adventurers looking for opportunity on the high seas centuries ago.

And here's this at http://www.win.tue.nl/~engels/discovery/list/00-07.txt, though I can't vouch for it's accuracy -

"From what I can gather the terms of the treaty were that the ships and crews of the expedition(s) were to be provided by King Christian I and that Portuguese interests would be overseen by one Joao ("Yorra") vas [vaz] Corte Real, apparently a Portuguese nobleman with nautical connections. It might be noted here that the major base of Portuguese explorations was at Sagres, near Gibraltar, the port of which is at Lagos, a few miles away. Just a few miles west of Lagos is Palos, Spain, both places intimately familiar to Christopher Columbus, the former a place of salvation to him after his swim to shore in 1476, the latter his port of departure in 1492."

What was interesting was that it didn’t feel like defeat. It felt like someone had just done something pretty rude, and it was time to move on and do what we were there for.

Yes, Weasel, we fahtted in your zheneral direcshon. Had we been wearing kilts, we would have given you the Braveheart salute.

God Bless you all, these scumbags will give up, because they only like to Protest uncontested.

I have been watching Tony Snow on Fox this morning...and of course there has been NO MENTION of this...

We need to alert Tony to this next week...so that all that take part every week...and all that helped last night, get the recognition...AND so the troops will get the recognition for what they have been subject too every Friday night...

Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad.

Amen, amen to your entire beautiful prayer! And we must thank veteran George who came alongside last week and prayed for us!

Jimminey Crickets. That's an original, not photoshopped, is it. This one's better than the last in a photo essay of dingleberries who don't know when they've been had.

Score one for the good guys for a change. A resounding "!YES" (said with conviction and gusto). Oh, and (I forgot), TWO thumbs up. I thought the flag was looking a little brighter today (apparently it wasn't a trick of the light).

WELL DONE!

Now to get back to the work of the day. Making Valentines for the troops at WRAMC.

No, sorry for the confusion! His father, a Viet Nam veteran, has come out to stand with us. Josh is continuing to improve, and recently has walked a few steps. He came very close to losing his leg, but so far, due to remarkable medical treatment, things look good. Mr. Sparling has been at Joshua's side as he recovers, and has helped distribute some of Josh's overflow of cards and gifts among other soldiers at WR.

Pinkos claim they have to stand out there to somehow impact the medical care of our soldiers. Nothing could be further from the truth, and it is a gross insult to the medical and support staff of these facilities. Our troops receive the best and most technologically advanced medical care, along with vastly increased veterans benefits approved under President Bush.

Did you see this yet? Code Pink has been chased away from the main entrance of Walter Reed.

FYI - I don't know whether it's true or not, but I have heard recently that Mr. Sparling's employer let him go.
