I expect the Saudies will help, but they will NOT help Hamas. They are fully aware of who Hamas is and who has been funding them. Saudis are Sunni, Iranians are Shiia. Saudis are Arab, Iranians are Persian.
For decades the royal family of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been the main financial supporter of Palestinian groups fighting Israel, through the creation of two major committees. The Popular Committee for Assisting Palestinian Mujahideen and The Support Committee for the Al-Quds Intifada and The Al-Aqsa Fund have to date given over 15 billion Saudi Riyals (4 billion $U.S.) and reportedly pledged Palestinians up to 1 billion dollars to finance the continuation of the Intifada, which is also commonly referred to by Saudi officials as "Jihad" [1] and "resistance.

"Sheikh Ahmed Yasin, spiritual leader of Hamas, remarked that he had been pleased with the good words of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Crown Prince and that the support and backing they had given had reassured him that the Palestinians were not alone in confronting Zionism. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia transferred 3,600,000 Saudi Riyals from the Popular Committee to Assist the Freedom Fighters of Palestine to the Palestinian Liberation Organization on the basis of advice from Prince Salman Ibn Abd Al-Aziz, Emir of the Riyadh Region and President of the Popular Committee to Assist the Freedom Fighters of Palestine. This sum is the sixth remittance from the Committee to the Palestinian Liberation Organisation during the current year of the Hijra."
