To: conservative in nyc
Barr is not a Conservative. He is a covert left-winger who immediately took a job with the anti-American ACLU when he was discharged from Congress. I would not believe anything that Barr says he has made his decision to join the left so we should stop calling him a Conservative and call him what he is a left-wing anti-American.

The field became too crowded on the right for Barr. He would just be one of hundreds of voices and not a particularly good one. By shifting left he has become unique, a Republican quasi-conservative who now can get on every news show and make a name for himself. The only person he has to share the field with over there is Pat Buchanan.

I think he saw a job with the ACLU as the biggest moneymaker and went for it.

He'd be arguing the other side (for Bush) if they paid him more money.
