OMG! I am screaming at the TV right now. Barnes is an idiot! Why didn't they just call in Bob Beckel instead for cripes sake--he may have been more compassionate. Sheesh!

When I was a kid one of our horses was shot with buckshot because a neighbor caught him in his haystack (jerk) anyway that horse lived to be over 30 years old and was fine, just had bumps on his neck, and that was buckshot, which I think is bigger than birdshot by quite a bit.

This is the perfect example of a case where "The Story" is more important than the facts. The WAY the press is handling this is amazing in its open bias.

Definitely. If this was Gore, the press would tell us we need to give him time to recover and pray, etc., etc. The VP looked like a broken man to me. Cheney: You focus on the bird, but as soon as I saw Harry, everything else left my mind so I don't know whether I got the bird or not. I ran over to him. One fortunate thing is I have a medical team with me wherever I go and within a minute or 2 he was administering first aid. Harry was conscious. I said "Harry, I had no idea you were there". He didn't respond.

I usually like him, but his comments are ridiculous.

The medical team on the scene (Cheney's)attended to Whittington in moments and after Cheney saying "I'm so sorry, Harry", Whittington "didn't respond".

"One of the fortunate things is that I always have a medical team with me...I said "Harry I had no idea you were there...he didn't respond"..

This man is just broken-hearted..
