TUCSON, Ariz. Minuteman border watch leader Chris Simcox has a message for President Bush -- build new security fencing along the border or private citizens will.
Simcox says he's also sending an ultimatum to the president to deploy military reserves and the National Guard to the Arizona border by May 25th, or Minuteman volunteers and supporters will break ground and start erecting fencing privately.
The Minuteman leader says a half-dozen landowners along the Arizona-Mexico border say they'll allow fencing to be placed on their borderlands.
Simcox says the border barrier-and-fencing complex would include a six-foot deep trench so a vehicle can't crash through.
Other features may include coiled, razor-edged barbed wire, in front of a 15-foot high heavy-gauge steel mesh fence angled outward at the top.

One of the last remaining hopes for our failing nation are these patriots.
$1,000. pledged here! Where do we send it?
I guess we can take the $$ we were planning on sending the Republicans for the fall election and send it to Simcox.
Excellent idea, my dear Watson. Would serve two purposes. Send the Pub party a message, and send the Fed gov't a message. A twofer.
(PHOENIX, AZ) April 17, 2006 The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps today announced additional tour cities in five states for the cross country Secure Americas Borders Now! petition drive led by Minuteman volunteer Tony Dolz, a naturalized American citizen from Cuba. The tour will feature stops at state offices of United States Senators to deliver the petition copy now in circulation which communicates the Minuteman message for a secure America on behalf of her concerned citizens. A copy of the petition is available online at http://www.MinutemanHQ.com
"Why they'd waste the money is beyond me. The fence will be torn down as fast as it's built."
By whom, and don't you think the Minutemen will be patrolling it? They will be, you'd better believe it.
I got n'ideer why, That's what the sellout, blame America, hate God, left thinks of anyone that sees that we must close our borders. Jest igneernt red nekks, thets awl.
Bookmarked, thanks for the link.
IMHO, the "gubment" will deny building permits.
It's an inspiring way for an average group of American patriots to stand up to the 'powers that be'!
Good luck to them all!
We'll see.
So true!
Thank you and God bless you.
Maybe Jimmy Carter could go down and pound a few nails.
Or maybe there could be a movement like Habitat for Humanity in which a bunch of volunteers give, like, a week to working on the fence.

We'll see."
Plus, remember, the owners of that property that will be fenced will be patrolling their new fencing also. I think this is a great idea. And it's proactive, not passive. Bravo.
good. i'll donate.
Oh, this is going to be fun to watch.
D.C. is going to melt down over this....
If Rush or Hannity mentioned this, $$ would come in faster.
A fence is necessary but not sufficient. Enforcement of hiring laws, other laws, English only, etc. etc. should make the risk/benefit equation such that many may prefer their Mexican homes and deport themselves
BTW, just to clarify, the laughter is to think that Jimmy Carter, or someone like him, would actually organize a group like Habitat for Humanity to start such a project.
That`s a great idea and not sending money to help elect Republicans will make the Rats so happy. Then, when Nancy and Harry run things, the border will be much safer, right?
Oh, by the way, the Republican House passed a Border Security Bill that the Rats said was to tough. Maybe you forgot.
