I will be in the area for business and am wondering if any FReepers are planning to attend the FairTax rally tonight. If so, please FReep me soon, I'd like to meet some of my fellow FairTax Supporting FReepers.
Fair Tax ping.....(thanks for the publicity of my vanity.)
Are there Freeper T shirts, so people could know each other?
I will be leaving for the airport soon, but if anyone is in the area of the FairTax rally, I will be staying at the Country Inn on Mall of Georgia Blvd. If you leave a message for CSM, I'll ask for it when I arrive at approximately 4:30.
I would, but I have to pick my wife up at the airport. Not going to make her ride MARTA to the northside at 7:30.
There are a bunch of folks talking about this on the FR Georgia forum.
I am, Sittinyonder is, I think Jeffrey T. is.
I plan on having a poster that has some type of FReeper lingo on it, something like Zot the IRS or something about stuned beebers.
We're picnicking hopefully by the pond outside the Convention Center. We've invited other GA FReeprs to join us, but you may have to bring your own sammiches. We should be there by 6 at the latest. I'd like to be there earlier, but I don't think we can.
Excellent, thanks. I will head over to the Georgia Forum for a couple of minutes.
You should attend the rally instead. If the Fair Tax passes, you'll bring home all of your paycheck and then be able to afford a new wife. And if she's divorced or widowed, you won't have to pay sales tax on her because the tax is only applied to new items, not used items.
Nope, everyone will be watching the hockey team get thrashed by the Anchorage Aces.....
A Taxreform bump for you all.
If anyone would like to be added to this ping list let me know.
John Linder in the House(HR25) & Saxby Chambliss Senate(S25) offer a comprehensive bill to kill all income and SS/Medicare payroll taxes outright and replace them with with a national retail sales tax administered by the states.
H.R.25,S.25
A bill to promote freedom, fairness, and economic opportunity by repealing the income tax and other taxes, abolishing the Internal Revenue Service, and enacting a national retail sales tax to be administered primarily by the States.Refer for additional information:
If they can have a good Fair Tax rally in Georgia, what with Linder, Boortz etc in-state, then it ain't gonna happen anywhere.
I heard on the Boortz show this a.m. that John Stossel is coming after his book signing is over at 8.
Should be a good event & I'm looking forward to seeing reports on it.
I hope some FReeper got in and can give a report. It could've been a combination of traffic, accident(s), and rally crowd. Who knows these things?
I'll have to wait for a report. Alas.
Thanks for the report. What time is the live show on the Fair Tax supposed to start?
http://wsbradio.com/
Listen live. They have it broadcast online.
Listening on WSB, Neal advised that they had 4000 plus in the the room and turned just as many away. The parking lot was full and the Fire Marshall wouldn't allow more persons in the room.
Mark Arum just said that Comcast on demand is recording it for all their subscribers.
replay bump....
maybe they should work on the Georgia Dome or Turner Field!
I just got onto the stream and it's Micheal Savage.
"Are there Freeper T shirts, so people could know each other?"
That would be nice; then I would get to meet RobFromGa and some of the other SQLs!
