PingThe Weekend Preview Thread is up
If you would like on or off my ping list please Freepmail me
The most interesting guests to me will be the confrontations between Duncan Hunter and John Murtha (ABCTW). I have a feeling that this is a set up to make Hunter look bad, but if he's given a chance he might just surprise them. I'm also interested in the Mitch McConnell / Chuck Schumer "debate" on Face the Nation, but assume that McConnell will be handcuffed by his leadership position, so I'm not expecting the good stuff that he can usually bring to these things (but he might just surprise everyone). I also intend to pay attention to Eugene Robinson and find out just what type of talking points are likely to be coming out over the next few weeks.
The dominant meme appears to be that Washington is screwed up and it's the Republicans/Bush's fault. The secondary meme appears to be an attempt to denigrate any positive news from Iraq.

If this Report comes out as another "Flush the Koran" style blast of pure Hate America Propaganda, can we FINALLY get people to take SOME action against Congress critters and Journalists that knowing LIE to the American people and repeat Terrorist Propganda? What does it take to get an Ethics complaint filed against Congressman Treason?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. One of my very favorite reads.
This stuff is just absolutely great. I'll be busy for a couple of hours tonight. Meantime, taking the little wife on a date............Mexican tonight, almost always on Friday. A couple glasses of wine, a bit of Mexican food. She's a very inexpensive date.
Here's wishing you a great Memorial Day Weekend. A salute to our troops.

You may want to look McConnell's position up on the Senate vote over illegal immigration. This would taint his appearance, IMHO.
I anticipate the issue of illegal immigration and what to do will dominate the shows this weekend. Other things will be on their agenda but it makes sense the Senate vote will be the topic de jour.
Washington being screwed up is only important IF Republicans are to blame. Otherwise, it's DC simply adjusting to the new takeover by Democrats later this year.
I strongly recommend every Freeper seeing what is on both the Democrat and Republican websites for their state. IF CO is any indication, the Democrats are working harder than we are.

Are you home from SF?
I presume so. (If so, did you shower two or three times to get the muck off?) I'm home (since late Sunday) and I have showered/bathed 9,754 times... and it's not enough...
but not because of SF. It was because of the bug I brought with me from Memphis (I know because the kids in my daughter's high school here had the same symptoms) and suffered through while in SF.
Here's a 10th circle of Hell. Be in San Francisco, one of the finest cities in the world for restaurants, and then be there on an expense account and THEN be there when you're sick as a dog and can't go out to enjoy yourself.
Dante would have been pleased.
Your efforts are appreciated and I meant to say thnak you.
Thank you. You are WAY too kind.

All I can say is muchkins in Freeperland thank you for your suffering and sacrifice.
I realize places like San Francisco or NY city have great restaurants and services. Enjoy them while you can too. I have to believe they are destined to fail due to overtaxing and government regulations, but it takes time.

Ain't nobody told ya ta stay out-a them big cities?

Murtha just got the "Portrait in Courage" award from Caroline Kennedy...
NOW, you wouldn't want an ethics complaint against a "great man" like that, would you??? /sarc

GOP Advisers: Bush's Stand Hurts Party (Human Events Interesting that their "analysis" just happens to echo their personal position on the Illegals issue. Hmm, maybe they need to go back to school. For Political Analysis to not understand that Bush has no vote in the US Senate demonstrates a complete lack of even basic understanding of how a Constitutional Republic works. Really interesting that they site an analysis for the current Senate Majority Leader. Seems these people are taking a Clinton tactic out for a spin. Sure looks like Triangulation. They do the deed and blame President Bush for the negative PR it generates. Anyone in the Junk Media even remember that Congress is a Co Equal Branch of Govt? Seems some of these guys have got their "analysis" credentials by hanging out on the Fund Raising circuit or on the Talk Radio shows and just mindlessly repeated what they hear as dogma.
