Bill Gertz is among the finest investigative reporters in Washington. People from the pentagon are honest with him and this allows him to report "scoops." So we tend to believe this report plus it just makes sense.
The Israelis seem to be destroying every home and all the property of their enemy Hezbollah. That may or may not help...but certainly it sends a message. In southern Lebanon, one cannot embrace "Holy War" and a nice home too for long! Not any more!
