Jurassic Park (New Find in Wyoming)
Washington Post ^ | 8-13-2006 | Guy Gugliotta

The richest undisturbed cache of dinosaur fossils in North America may change the way we see the distant past...

IT WAS THE PROSPECTOR WHO FOUND IT FIRST. Maybe 30 years ago, back when uranium was worth a lot, when people thought nuclear power was your friend. He was working a ridge up at Spring Creek, Wyo., looking for ore with a scintillometer, a modern-day Geiger counter. He was getting a lot of hits.

But there was something else. Big, off-color rocks in strange shapes were lying loose on the ground where the wind had blown the dirt off them. The prospector was a geologist. He knew what those were. Dinosaur bones. From big dinosaurs -- like the ones that fill up museum exhibits.

Long read for Dinosaur and Paleontology buffs about a huge find in Wyoming, probably the most extensive pristine site in the US.

It's worth a trip to Wyoming just to see the suicide rats and maybe even "sqwoosh" one of the little guys yourself.

My wife keeps accusing me of hitting them deliberately but she doesn't understand.

When I lived in Louisiana the cockroaches were so big that the state DOT made them wear amber flasher backup lights and beepers.

I saw a rat the other night scampering from a dumpster that I thought, a first, was a cat or a rabbit, until I got a good look at it in the streetlight and saw that it was a RAT!.......

Yeah, but the best one was when the South Louisiana swamp mosquito landed at the SAC Base outside Shreveport. The refueling guys pumped 500 gallons of jet fuel into it before they realized it wasn't a B-52.

There are no dinosaur bones. They're all fakes, put there by filthy Darwinists to dupe people into believing their sick theory. [/sarc]

If there are that many bones, then there must be a trillion bazillion barrel of oil underneath 'em.

What an idiotic way to start a story on a totally unrelated topic. Nevermind that uranium prices have been soaring because of increased demand, and that the statement on its own is factually inaccurate.
