What good is a wall? Any Mexican, (terrorist or whatever) smart enough to climb a ladder or operate a shovel can get over or under it.

What's needed is a proper surveillance system and enough manpower to respond to what it detects. I don't think it takes 10,000 troops, It takes rapid response, and the equipment to do that, and a budget to keep it up.

It also takes clear laws that make instant deportation possible, rather than having hordes of lawyers along with human rights groups demanding that those that claim refugee status get free room and board, and welfare for a year while they wait for a hearing.

There are a multitude of issues that must be adressed to curb the illegal immigrant problem

True.. like the republican party leaving the denial that "a portion" of 30 million legal and illegal aliens WILL vote democrat.. in 2006 ad 2008.. How large a portion?.. Dunno.. it depends on how much republicans(RNC) even CARE.. Which seems to be running at about 2 percent currently.. Any alien(with any sense) will vote republican when hell freezes over..

What a load of crap.

So if we build a 30 foot wall, Mexicans and terrorists will just build a 31 foot ladder and cross over it. I guess you believe there won't be any Border Patrol or Guard troops on the other side, huh?
