Agree, why more people can't take the Bible literally and come to the conclusion that a world-wide flood killed the dinosaurs is beyond me.

Because all the real-world evidence contradicts that hypothesis.

The fact that there isn't the remotest scrap of evidence that a world-wide simultaneous flood ever occured at any point in the history of the earth might have something to do with it.

BTW, where in the Bible was the "except the dinosaurs" clause from God to Noah?

The timing is off by about 65 million years.

That's a very honest admission.

Big Flood.
Maybe some meteoric and volcanic action stirred into the mix ('windows of heaven being opened, and fountains of the great deep broken up') ...Some heavy duty stuff was going on.

Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

I agree there was a world wide flood and more that wiped out all flesh during the dino age, but it was not Noah's flood. Reason God was not angry with the dinos and he told Noah to put two of every flesh on the ark, but Noah did not have any dinos to put on the ark.

I'm with you. We know more than we used to, but it is our deductions that seem to always end up being fatally flawed.

The flood account still holds more water than any other explanation/speculation.

"...why more people can't take the Bible literally and come to the conclusion..."

The floods must have drowned all those fully aquatic species that died during that extinction. /sarc

Could it be that Noah was told to gather all the animals two by two but never made any room for a T-Rex or Brontosaurus because they weren't around?
