I know people that don't listen to Savage, and probably aren't aware that Pat Buchanan is still alive and they were furuious with the Republicans thumbing their collective noses at the base on immigration. Blame Savage if it makes you feel better, but we know where the real blame for this debacle lies.

"Blame Savage if it makes you feel better,"

There is certainly plenty of blame to go around my friend. And as you point out the Republicans in general and Bush in particular deserve the lion's share of it. But that does not excuse the dangerous and self serving behavior of people in our movement like Savage and Buchanan. They did affirmative harm in this cycle throwing gasoline on a dangerous fire at a critical time in our nation's history.

The Republicans deserved to be reprimanded not destroyed. And right now they are imploding to the detriment of all. And don't forget, Savage switched positions the week before the election claiming (correctly) that empowering the radical left at this moment in time would be a tragic mistake. He gambled that the Republicans would at least hold the Senate and then he could claim credit for it.

Well guess what. He was wrong. And now the likes of Durban, Leahy, Schumer, Pelosi and Clinton have been empowered. Go down the list of things Savage claims to care about, open borders, free rein for communist judges, pushing the radical gay agenda, not to mention the menace of radical islam, you name it. Every one of these causes is going to be advanced enormously in the coming years. And Savage, whether he likes it or not, shares directly in the blame.
