Not really that funny... Exploiting these poor people like this is disgusting. Guess thats what "comedians" and "actors" think is funny. Borat got his arse kicked in NYC now I think thats funny.

Well said, Echo Talon.

If Michael Moore pulled this kind of thing--- taking people out of context and misrepresenting himself in order to manipulate them in order to make him rich--- which is essentially what Moore does do in "Roger and Me" and his other movies-- then people (at least conservatives) wouldn't be so easy on him.

In his techniques, Borat is basically a descendant of Michael Moore. Manipulative venom definitely can be funny as long as it's not directed at you (which is why leftists love Moore and conservatives hate him, but pretty much everyone who doesn't identify with his victims loves Borat), but it's never a good thing.

One is a spoof and a comedy and the other claims to be a documentary. Why not compare night and day? Compare it to a Scary Movie or an Airplane spoof and you'd be spot on. By all accounts a funny movie and I will always err on the side of anything that is not pc.

The difference is that this is supposed to be a comedy. Micheal Moore presents his works as "informative" and non-fiction. It's his hypocrisy and spin that are offensive. If he was making comedies, then I doubt conservatives would complain.

i AGREE WITH YOU...WELL SAID. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS.

I don't think putting a sex toy on soemone's stump arm is funny. "borat" is despicable. If you want to do this why not just give the villagers money?

I think the producers should now go back to every villager and give them each $10k if they acted in the mvoe and the village a couple hundred thousand...that might be a beginning.

I agree, and concur about Michael Moore.

I won't see the movie, I think it's juvenile and cruel, and it certainly doesn't help our relationship with Khazakstan.
