Lest we forget, Mean Girls still in office(all liberals)

Last week, the self-described Mean Girls on the Multnomah County Board of Commissioners acted nice for a change.

Let me emphasize "acted." Playing nice is not the same as being nice.

After two years of bickering, back-stabbing and underhanded silliness, the three women commissioners finally gave outgoing Chair Diane Linn public recognition for some of her accomplishments -- in spite of.

---snip---

During a backdrop of occasional laughter, hugs and tears, those in the audience Thursday -- the last council meeting of the year -- heard phrases like: "It's been a pleasure working with you," and "You haven't gotten the credit you deserve."

Talk about rewriting history.

A few months ago, Commissioners Maria Rojo de Steffey, Lisa Naito and Serena Cruz Walsh were actively sabotaging Linn's re-election campaign.

--snip--

The three-against-one dispute became shamefully obvious when the three commissioners attempted to gut one of Linn's pet project -- Schools Uniting Neighborhoods. The after-school program, which linked low-income families to social services, helped mostly students of color.

--snip--

Thursday, Rojo de Steffey snatched the credit for helping reclaim even more budget cuts. She says she, Wheeler and the city of Portland -- which kicked in $50,000 -- came up with a plan to continue the SUN funding through June.

At the end of her "I'm-so-in-charge" speech, Rojo de Steffey turned to Linn -- itself a major accomplishment, since she spent so much time in the last year or so avoiding Linn's direct gaze.

"I'd like to continue to thank you, Diane, again, for your championing of this program," Rojo de Steffey said. "I know it's very important to you and you have championed it. You've done tremendous work for this. So, thank you very much."

--Snip--

Yet, even in the midst of Linn's celebration Friday with her staff at the Portland City Grill, the painful memories still obviously haunted.

"There's so much that could have been done if the three hadn't performed the way they did," Linn said. "That's just the truth of it."

I believe we are already seeing some of this pettiness from Pelosi with regards to Jane Harmon.

This is why women should not be politicians, this is typical nastiness from women.

I used to live in Portland in the early 1990's. What a bunch of idiots who run the local government.

This kind of stuff was going on in my wife's department and causing problems. When asked by management what she thought the problem was she said, "Too many women, too little space."

All Liberals, male or female, are hypocrites and liars. It's in their blood, it's in their basic philosophy of greed and power. Need I say any more?

Only conservative women like Margaret Thatcher should be involved in politics. The good of the country above all else.

Was it on 20-20 or Dateline last about how mean the High school girls are to others with computers and camera phones! Games that have taken lives! Sorry, this woman wouldn't vote for a woman in the gubmint, no matter what level. Looks like a whole new crop of ruthless women coming up.

Good government is based on Yang (male) energy. This is why Yangs like Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan were successful and Yins like Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry are failures. Unfortunately, American government and society in the post-feminist era has swung way over to the Yin side, and needs to return to balance.

If any women is honest...she must admit to herself that women in general when given any authority are just downright nasty. I am entering into the nursing program soon and definitely not looking forward to that part of school.

Just stay above all that, be that person that is helpful friendly and the non gossip.....set the example and people may want to be like you above all have a healthy sense of humor but you are a FReeper so I am not too worried about that....also, everything you need to learn about nursing starts the first day of your job....hang in there, prayer is powerful and start each shift with it....
Work nights in a city ER....I promise you will have all sorts of fun....they are the real hospitals and do not have the money or time to be politically correct....sorry for the rambling

I'm sure there is a lot more to say, just read what they say and watch what they do. Liberals are transparent for most "thinking" Americans and they will eventually trip themselves up.
