Did it hit with little to no warning? One of my friends had it and she said she felt fine all day. Then she felt a little nauseated and within an hour she was hurling.

I woke up in the a.m. thinking I hadn't slept well but wasn't sure why. I had a project to get finished so I started right away, around 7:30 am. By 9:am I was making frequent visits to the bathroom. The worst was the body aches. I took Tylenol which did absolutely nothing for them. I was afraid to take Motrin because of stomach upset...

The worst was over in 24 hours, but I didn't feel really well for 3 to 4 days.

My son was doing cartwheels the evening before. Right before bed he had a headache. At two am he was hit like a ton of bricks. I am a fellow emetophobe so I have been anxiously watching the rest of us for symptoms but it's been 2.5 weeks and so far nothing has hit.

The worst one of these viruses that I've ever had occurred about three years ago. (time flies!) I felt fine all day. We had not had anyone ill in our household. And I wanted Popeyes spicy fried chicken for dinner. Hubby was tired, and he laid down for a nap. The doorbell rang, and it was our neighbor whose wife was in labor. I went across the street to take care of their five children, and hubby went to buy me that chicken. Sometime during the night, I started feeling a little queasy, but I thought it was due to the candles that the neighbors had strategically placed throughout the house. (smell like cloves) Then around 6:00am, I could not leave the bathroom for more than fifteen minutes, and I wasn't urping. Yet. The neighbor (father) came home around 7:00am, and I could not get home fast enough. The next 24 hours were the worst hours I can remember in my life. I was so sick. And then hubby got it. It was the sickest he's ever been. I was so sick that I can't even remember if our children got it. I know the neighbors did not get it from us! They had been ill three weeks before. I have not eaten Popeyes chicken since. (prior to that, we had a virus hit our house, and we went five years without buying Pringles potato chips.)

That's how it hit us. Fine all day, went to bed, woke up at 1 AM and exploded. GACK!
