It's not easy for a walrus to join the mile-high club, but at 285 meters above sea level, I'd say he was doing pretty well.

"A bone which came from the penis of a walrus (Os penis) was handed over to the Museum in Thorlákshöfn at a special ceremony last weekend,"
Not much to do in Iceland is there.

Re: A bone which came from the penis of a walrus (Os penis) and is believed to be 10,000 to 12,000 years old, was discovered in a gravel mine by Lambafell in Ölfuss in south Iceland a few weeks ago.
The bone was found at an altitude of 285 meters above sea level. Sigurdsson said it is unprecedented that a bone from a sea animal is discovered at such a high altitude.

The Baculum is a unique bone found in the penis of most mammals. This bone aids in copulation when mates have only a short encounter and need to perform quickly. The Baculum is sometimes referred to a hillbilly or mountain man toothpick and can be utilized as a coffee stirrer. The largest Baculum in the mammal kingdom belongs to the walrus, which can reach a length of 30 inches.http://www.skullsunlimited.com/baculums.html

This is not a mere joke. If this is true, the bone had to have gotten there through a human agency.
It suggests the possibility that the Vikings were not the first settlers of Iceland as we've always been told.

At least the poor sod who probably carved it into a flute didn't know it was a walrus wiener.
If his friends had found out it would be constant, "Hey Thorg. Remember that time Orbo carved a flute out of a walrus's piece and you were like, 'Dude! That's walrus dong'. And he was all 'Brong said it was a whale bone man'. And you were like 'Brong told me it was the walrus's unit! you've been jobbed!'"
