The monument in these photo is located on the George Parks Highway, mile 147, between Anchorage and Fairbanks. Among other things, there are five massive, sculpted, upright concrete slabs. Each honors a branch of our Armed Forces. It is well worth visiting.

Yupper, Tonk knew how much I enjoyed the cow pictures. The first time he did that I just cracked up!

I am so sad. I will miss him very much. I wish younger people could appreciate the wisdom, strength and courage that he shared with so many people. Take care everyone.

One of the very endearing things that Brain always did, besides posting flowers for the canteen gals, was that he always posted fires for us.

I always enjoyed those fires.

Thank You Mr Tonkin youre memory leaves us warm.
