"Anti-Immigration Law Passed in Virginia - 07/12/2007 by Diario Reporter Isabel Conde

Effecting Mexican and Other Undocumented Workers

Washington/EFE -

The approval in Prince William County (Virginia) of a local resolution that hardens measures against the illegal immigrants and denies access to them to community services has caused "deep dissapointment" in the Hispanic community. The resolution, approved Tuesday unanimously after to have undergone a pair of changes of last hour, authorizes and demands "civil employees, agencies and personnel" of the county to verify the immigration status of any person on whom a reasonable suspicion that exists she is an undocumented immigrant. Initially this exigency to "any person of the county" had extended but before the pressure of the groups pro immigrants and the Police of the county they were possibly ended up changing the terms in the definitive version of the resolution. "it does not concern the way in which it appears writing, one is a directed resolution mainly the Hispanic community and of character clearly anti Latin", said Kent Willis, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Virginia. "Now it is to wait for to ` sessions of work` that the county has said that it will organize in near 60 days in which all the details will be specified", Willis explained.

ACLU is not the unique one that has shown their opposition. "the decree has shown to a total lack of understanding of the community immigrant in a as diverse county as Prince Williams", said to Efe Flavia Jiménez, analyst of policy and immigration of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). Like them, the Chief of Police of Prince William County, Charlie T. Deane, has made his opposition to the measurement public, that, said, will have "important unexpected consequences which the county will have to face in the coming years". Some of these consequences could include an ascent of taxes and, even, an increase of the rates of criminality between the immigrants who no longer will be arranged to collaborate with the Police. On the other hand, the president of the Commission Corey Stewart, Governing body, defended his position and alleged that the resolution only tries to solve to the problems of "overpopulation in houses and schools, and to deport those undocumented people who are violent and dangerous"."

That is the way they always talk in the Spanish media and if you talk to day laborers.

Everything done to adhere to the law, to them at least, is "anti-inmigrante", or Anti Immigrant.

Yes, yes, we know that. We are aware of that strategy. But we are countering it. And we are countering it successfully.

As people begin to see the damage to their own communities, see it with their own eyes, and coupled with Americans's savvy and common sense, they will not be swayed even if the liberal media calls our leaders bigots or that they would be racist to support such anti-illegal efforts.

I have even begin to see people walk out of church services when the sermon turned to supporting these people. People just don't care about the "bigot" label anymore I think. It has gone way past that.

And nationwide--as we have shown--we surpass them in sheer size, by at least 10 Orders of Magnitude on our side no doubt. They may try but they will eventually lose this battle. The tide has turned.

Agreed. The ACLU cannot fight multiple battles. As cities around the country start implementing laws such as these, the ACLU and their ilk will be overwhelmed.

"Anti-Immigration Law Passes in Virginia"

Your right, The title is an absolute lie.

This has nothing to do with "Immigration" and everything to do with illegally trespassing and breaking the law!

THIS, is PRECISELY the strategy I see, the Grand Strategy, which must necessarily spread like a PRAIRIE FIRE across the nation, and spread quickly. We can keep an eye on the Federal level with the Congresscritters, but this local approach is where we get a real "bang for the buck". We can fight them on 3000 different fronts, they the enemy (La Raza, ACLU, Maldef) will only be able to get attorneys to a few of those thousands of local communities. By sheer size, the lion roars, the giant wakes up, and we shake this national plague off of our backs, town by town, county by county if we have to. We will prevail.

Exactly! This was in fact the Spanish title of the article, originally. Here, take a look:

A great step forward. Thanks for the thread.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE IMMIGRATION LAW FOR MEXICO?

I thought that I heard it on Mark Levin or Sean Hannity a month ago or so but can't find it now.

My e-mail to the white house and various senators: Mr. President, perhaps you and I have one thing in common, our strong feelings about the issue of illegal immigration. It should be obvious to even the most casual observer that you have to do something other than the status quo or the provisions of the senate bill.

Until we have security and some semblance of border control, most Americans will not support any benefits, amnesty, or whatever you want to do to help the illegal immigrant. This is the basic problem with your philosophy and those who supported the legislation. Security first. Then we will listen to other changes.

You need to impress upon us that you care more about us then you do illegal immigrants. And some of us have relatives waiting years to get in and the people you support can walk across tonight. THEY MUST GET IN LINE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!

Here is my proposal. Feel free to run with it.

1. Do the job you swore to do. Enforce the current laws. Support and reinforce the officers working the border. Support a federal law directing local police and other law enforcement to take action to detain and initiate deportation of those here illegally. Jail employers of illegal immigrants.

2. No benefits for those in the country illegally. Exception, those with true emergency medical conditions will receive treatment while their deportation is initiated.

3. Initiate a constitutional amendment to stop the anchor baby phenomenon.

4. Build the fence.

5. Change the immigration quotas to reflect real needs justified by industry and/or states. Make the justifications public. So the average American knows how many we are allowing in and why. We will support something logical, fair, and needed AFTER our security is taken care of.

Milton Friedman: A country cannot simultaneously be a welfare state and have open borders.

I guess when it comes down to it, American communities, at the local level, can only take so much drunk driving, harrassment of women and girls walking down the streets, candy wrappers and other garbage galore, and rivers of piss and beer co-mingling in the streets.

Is it not possible to be for immigration and against illegal immigration?

It must be cities which will take their case all the way to the supremes. What I have seen is that city attorneys recommend a roll over and city coucils vote not to appeal.

Yes, of course.

The best people to answer that question are the people standing in front of US Embassies and Consulates right now, in Riga, Santiago, Dublin, Bangkok, Warsaw, Sydney, Seoul, Madrid, New Delhi, wherever, holding think yellow manila envelopes with reams of documents, photos, certificates and the like.

They are in LONG lines. Some in swelterin heat. Paying lots of money to legally enter our immigration system.

These above anyone else, are those who would say, you can support Immigration without supporting Illegal Immigration.

The libs, and socialists, the pro-illegal GOP Establish Big Business Types, and the emotional Hispanic press always have this insolent, silent, stupid smirk on their face, with no readily available counter answer, when you ask them about this point.

They made a MAJOR PR mistake with waving all those Mexican and Centroamericano flags, and in some cases, taking down the US flag.

They went even further in my County in California, and other places across the nation.

At a school here, they took down the American flag and put it UNDERNEATH the mexican flag, and actually had the USA flag upside down.

At least the upside down part was ironically correct, they have pushed out country over the edge into distress.

We do need CRITICAL MASS, though. Across the board, around the nation, in the trenches.

We either hang together or we hang separately.

It is ironic that our of the great Commonwealth of Virginia came many of the beginnings of our great Republic. Now out of Virginia comes the beginnings of that which may very well SAVE our great Republic, and or least preserve it to the point we can still recognize it.

They are working vigorously behind the scenes with the documents as we speak.

With all the anti-Illegal Immigrant laws that have passed during the last year and the legal responses by the Left, the Left will eventually feel the pain in their wallets as they challenge all the new laws. Americans and their local and state politicians must keep up this pressure and pass more anti-Illegal Immigrant laws. With them, we can damage the financial status of the Left.
