Several witnesses, including Clifton Forge police officers, said they had heard Lefler make statements about killing his wife and himself. There was also testimony that Lefler had mixed prescription painkillers and other medications with alcohol. Now I guess the FOP will be trying to get the dirt bags job back.

The now goes to a story about Ingenious Indians. However I was able to find the “local” section with a short partial column story indicating that the officer involved submitted his resignation, which was accepted.
