I like Club for Growth, but their attacks on Huckabee are simply a personal feud between one of the founders and Huckabee. Their allegations that he is a big tax-and-spender are baseless.

Huckabee's pay-as-you-go plan has done a great job of improving our highways. The roads are much better now.

Gov. Huckabee is using the Minneapolis tragedy for political purposes? He just sunk in my estimation.

It's disgusting what some people will do for power.

Huckabee is a Bill Clinton clone. Do not listen to what he says, but what he does.

Arkansas needs those good roads to handle all the additional traffic from the illegals that have doubled their population.

Huckabee = Big government socon. No thanks. I value my personal liberty and freedom from do-gooders who believe they can save everyone from themselves.

Bridges are safer in Arkansas because of Mike Huckabee

I’m waiting for the Boston Globe to print the following...

Bridges are safer in Massachusetts because of Ted Kennedy

Hey! We have highways and bridges in California -- and taxes to support them too. But there seems to be a problem..

Blast from the past (and present): "This [California] measure imposes a 4 percent sales tax on gasoline . . . This new sales tax is in addition to the existing $.18 per gallon state tax on gasoline and diesel fuel and the average sales tax of approximately 8 percent imposed by the state and local governments on all goods, including gasoline . . . will be used to improve and operate passenger rail and mass transit bus services . . . the measure would generate about $630 million annually."

Yes, some would go to what tax on fuel was meant to be, road maintenance. But the liberal mantra has for decades been, "The little people's autos bad, tax 'em for our buses and rail."

(This example picked at random to represent "the way it is.")
