It was clearly genocide.
Given the fact that the resolution addresses several dozen actions of the American government, dating back to the time of the slaughter, and including reduction of aid to Turkey, I don't think there's a reason the US needs to be officially addressing it again today.
How about ZERO aid to Turkey? That might work better.

I think our government addressed this Turkey/Romanian war in 1974 and the word genocide was not used. The democrats are playing with fire and when the bolt of lightning hits, they will blame this administration. They are reading and abiding by the words of Saul Alinsky. The democrats have not done one constructive thing since gaining POWER this past election (thanks to the non-voting so called conservatives, ninnies, I say) All the democrats have done is call for investigations, called for and posed before tv cameras for so called investigations.
In the past, elections were tooth and toenail fights with ferocinous, but when the election was over, the losing side did “make up” and they tried to work together for a better America. However until 1994 the democrats were in charge and the republicans tried to get along. Today it is claws and knives out and kicks below the belt.
Unfortunately the Republicans have not had the courage to face the enemy in the house and senate. If they stand, as they have been standing, with their thumbs in their mouths, our military will suffer for their lack of a backbone.
