There’s another famous photo of her with her horse, Macaroni. She’s standing beside the horse in that picture. I figure that’s the one he’s talking about.
now that was funny :)
Where it began
I cant begin to knowin’
But then I know its growin’ strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who’d have believed you’d come along
Hands, touchin’ hands
Reachin’ out
Touchin’ me
Touchin’ you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would
But now I,
Look at the night
And it dont seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin’ runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I’m with you
Warm, touchin’ warm
Reachin’ out
Touchin’ me
Touchin’ you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
I believed they never could
Sweet Caroline...
YEar later he wrote it holed up. She would have been of age then. :)
It's just a song, and he quite possibly made up both the song and this story.
Look at the TONE of the song.
It’s not about embracing someone else’s KID.
It’s about embracing as an adult etc..
CREEPY!
Where it began
I cant begin to knowin
But then I know its growin strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Whod have believed youd come along
Hands, touchin hands
Reachin out
Touchin me
Touchin you
Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
Ive been inclined
To believe they never would
But now i
Look at the night
And it dont seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when Im with you
Warm, touchin warm
Reachin out

I don't know, the creepy factor is rising.
Filling up lonely nights with the company of "only two" is a romantic reference. Diamond should have kept his pervy inspiration for this song to himself. It's ruined now.
And he keeps his books like a singer...
Yeah, and Algore and Tipper were the inspiration for “Love Story”.
I think Neil’s story is bull. He’s made the news, though.
Did he have a groupie named Caroline?
Color me skeptical.
Huh? What’s creepy about a charming photo of a child?
According to this, “Sweet Caroline” was written after a drunken hit-and-run accident.

Neil wrote some pretty crazy songs, that's for sure. Fer instance:
"I am," I said
To no one there
An no one heard at all
Not even the chair
So, the chair couldn't hear him. Or is that the only word he could think of that rhymed with there? Hmmmmm
LOL.
Now read this
Where it began
I can't begin to knowin'
But than I know it's growing strong
Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who'd believe you'd come along?
Hands, touchin' hands
Reaching out
Touching me
Touching you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe it never would
But now I
Look at the night
And it don't seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin' runs off my shoulder
How can I hurt when i'm with you
Warm, touchin' warm
Reachin' out
Touchin' me
Touchin' you
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seem so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no
Sweet Caroline
Good times never seemed so good
Sweet Caroline
I believe they never could
Sweet Caroline
Read the lyrics. Neil is a perv if he wrote that about a 9 yo girl?
Indeed. Read the words of the song. If he wrote that about a little girl then that guy's a pedophile.
Well, she was over twenty by the time he actually wrote the song.
