..don't bother with Monks' telephone comments--the guy is a complete --well you fill in the blank
He doesn't know jack about politics, but gives the DH campaign a lot of meaningless advice--maybe he should just stick to podcasting...

Sorry. Dont buy it. The evidence for the asteroid theory is too overwhelming.Disease outbreaks commonly follow catastrophes, so the hypothesis as an adjunct to the asteroid theory is valid.

The real explanation? They were MURDERED!!! ;') Thanks blam, I just had a great laugh to start the new year. I'd better add "jurassic park" to the keywords.

No, no, no, they weren't
murdered, they
pooped themselves to death. Viz.,
“In dinosaur feces, we found nematodes, trematodes and even protozoa that could have caused dysentery and other abdominal disturbances. The infective stages of these intestinal parasites are carried by filth-visiting insects.”

Ever notice how almost all science articles include the word may in them?
Well in order for them to know for sure, they would've had to be present at the time of the dinosaurs. Last I checked no human beings were around 65 million years ago. Hence the "may."
Ever notice how so many FReepers so readily shoot down scientists' conclusions when they probably haven't picked up a textbook in twenty years?

Primatodes are my personal favorites. And I thought only trees got trematodes.

Note: this topic is from 1/03/2008. Thanks blam.
The new article about this appears to be, uh, awfully similar data.
