I was sitting there and thinking about how all this snow eventually has to melt. Those folks in California always make a big deal about how this is good for them. You would think that there would be more dams built out in the rural sections of the country.
I wonder if the Three Gorges dam is going to get an unusual influx. The rural areas of China tend to be dirt poor. They aren't well prepared to handle this kind of emergency.
Another thread pointed out that we are about to discover how a disaster in China impacts the usual massive flow of goods in our direction.
Actually, the state capital, Sacramento, is in dire straits (no pun intended) with the strong possibility of a deadly flood of the American River. You’d think the nitwit Legislature would be concerned, but I suppose they think of the Central Valley as their own little “flyover country.”
