House Republicans Thursday left the chamber ahead of a vote seeking to hold White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify before a panel investigating the firing of several United States attorneys.
The move was intended to show that Republicans want to work on a permanent update to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act rather than be part of a “partisan fishing expedition,” as House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) put it.
Well, finally, some balls on the Republican side.
In the meantime they are bringing up a temporary amnesty bill.
And of course, the House of Reps is investigating Roger Clements (which should NOT be a matter for Congree to be involved in)....
A day late & a dollar short I am afraid. Where were their afore mentioned balls when they were the majority?
That investigation will end because the cameras focus on the ballplayers and not the politicians. Baseball has an exemption from antitrust laws, so they should be careful.

How does walking out show balls? I’m afraid the real reason is they don’t want to go to the podium to defend the Bush Admn,Meiers or Bolton. Balls? I’m afraid they’re in full retreat.
Trotting out that dead horse for a beating again, huh? I guess when Clinton fired the attorneys it was "prudent."
The Dem House leadership should be blackballed and emailed to death, called until their ears hurt. Nan is a Quisling. This is treason to our safety domestically. Letters to the editors should flood the media. Obama, Hil, all the Senate leadership on the Left depend on Trial lawyers and they want the Telco people to suffer. These people on the Left are just traitors and they keep getting away with it. Even some Democrats in the Senate wanted to vote for this FISA bill. But, the lawyers apparently give dough so Dems would rather have another attack to appease them.
They need to keep this up. Nice to see them with some balls.

Still, this stuff never gets to court, but all the Democrats care about is a headline here or there. They imagine this is the sort of thing that will put them in the good graces of their Islamofascist friends, and they will be spared for last.
