World Temperatures according to the Hadley Center for Climate Prediction. Note the steep drop over the last year.Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming.....

.....All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA's GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

Meteorologist Anthony Watts compiled the results of all the sources. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C -- a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year time. For all sources, it's the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Of all the issues McCain embraces that drive me crazy, this is #1. If he demonstrated he could evaluate facts logically on this issue, I might vote for the guy. If he can’t, I can’t.

Here's a thought....let's all go broke cooling a planet that could be headed for a deep freeze which will devastate life as we know it !

Or as McCain says: "What will it hurt if we're wrong?" Here's where it will hurt, a##hole.

No No not the 70’s

Not Nixon, Ford, Carter.

Not disco and coke.

Not 44 straight days of below zero temps.

I don’t feel so good.

REALLY! I lived in Madison, WI at the end of the 70’s. One winter there was 90+ straight days below freezing.

"It's the 70's all over again.... "

More like the 1670's.....welocme to another mini-ice age as the sun spots decline to 200 year minimums.

Before we all celebrate, go to the Daily Tech site and click on the link in the writeup third paragraph sentence "Meteorologist Anthony Watts compiled the results of all the sources". Once you get the Watts Up With That? site, scroll to the bottom to UPDATE AND CAVEAT and see:

" The website DailyTech has an article citing this blog entry as a reference, and their story got picked up by the Drudge report, resulting in a wide distribution. In the DailyTech article there is a paragraph:

“Anthony Watts compiled the results of all the sources. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C — a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year time. For all sources, it’s the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.”

I wish to state for the record, and with objection, that this statement is not mine: “–a value large enough to erase nearly all the global warming recorded over the past 100 years” There has been no “erasure”. This is an anomaly with a large magnitude, and it coincides with other anecdotal weather evidence. It is curious, it is unusual, but it does not “erase” anything. I have suggested a correction to Daily Tech."

The have beaten the C02 drum so long they are burying themselves with it.

The temperatures should be going through the roof if it were even half as bad as they say.

Convicted felons chip away at frozen snow piles
04:21 PM PST on Tuesday, February 26, 2008
By LINDSAY CHAMBERLAIN / KREM.com

SPOKANE -- One month after a record snowstorm, work crews from Geiger Corrections Center continue to help get Spokane's streets back on track.

Near Manito and 38th Avenue on Spokane's South Hill. Devon Haskins, KREM.com

Snow piles that have turned to ice are still blocking many storm drains.

Because Spokane Streets Department crews are mostly tied up filling potholes this time of year, the City of Spokane employed work crews from Geiger Corrections Center to help clear the storm drains, costing $250 per day.

Work crew supervisor Randy Palmer said the hard work of shoveling and chipping ice away all day helps teach the crew members, all convicted felons, about a proper work ethic.

Since the brunt of the winter storm season, Geiger work crews have cleared a few hundred storm drains around Spokane.
