Thousands rally in Sydney against Kosovo independence

Several thousands members of Sydney's Serbian community have rallied in the city this afternoon calling on the Federal Government to reverse its decision to recognise Kosovo as an independent state.

The protesters marched from Martin Place to the Federal Government offices in Sydney this afternoon.

They carried signs saying "Kosovo is Serbia" and the "United Nations is dead".

They are angry the Australian Government recognised Kosovo's declaration of independence last month.

The protesters, who were mostly members of the Serbian community, are calling on the Federal Government to reverse its decision to recognise Kosovo as an independent state.

They say Kosovo's declaration breaches international law and have called for an apology.

See Kevin07. You start handing out apologies, and soon everyone wants one.

There have been many demonstrations by good people around the world including in the US and Canada.

Where this disastrous and immoral action will lead...I am almost afraid to say.

“Where this disastrous and immoral action will lead...I am almost afraid to say.”

Maybe places like Greece and people like the Greeks will recover from their fixation with evil Western culture. Certainly, it should be a very, very long time before Greece can ever trust America again. For all they know, the American government, along with the Britsih and the Germans, is already plotting the carve up of Greece to provide more land for the Jehadi Mohammedan Albanians. True or not, Greece should prepare for such an American move.

As you are no doubt aware, Greeks are already trying to organize against this very thing in: Thrace, Cyprus, Epirus, etc. Lots of pressure on the Greek govt to stand firm against these designs originates from the Diaspora...

Cultural Memory cannot be extinguished so easliy no matter how much crappy immoral western secular media tries.

I am reminded of something I read on Free Republic years ago about conflict in the former Yugoslavian territories, long before I even signed up. It was a quote from a Greek friend of a Freeper asking why the US would choose sides in a fight between a snake and a rat.

“...why the US would choose sides in a fight between a snake and a rat.”

Clearly Clinton and Bush felt a kinship with one of them.

The Serbs had never harmed us and posed no threat to us. Yet Bill Clinton is responsible for the killing of over 3,000 Serbs, most of them women and children - one of many reasons why I never want to see the Clintons back in the White House. Disgusting that Bush is now covering up for Clinton and took a stand against the Serbs.

Hey, maybe the Greeks can start by pulling their troops out of KFOR.

"Greece already participates with a big number of peacekeeping troops within NATO-led KFOR and has announced it supports the new European Mission law and order mission, EULEX, which is being deployed in Kosovo." - LINK
Or maybe Greece should just drop out of evil NATO completely? Oh wait, then they couldn't keep Macedonia out by complaining about their name. Oh well, you've gotta have priorities.

I’m surprised that there’s that many Serbs in Australia. I’ve heard that Australia has a strict immigration policy and its difficult to move there legally.

Someone has to protect the Serbs there until the Russians arrive in force. God knows the Americans and West Europeans won't.

“Or maybe Greece should just drop out of evil NATO completely?”

As there will likely be a viable alternative in the not too distant future, and since war in the Balkans is also likely, I suspect that's exactly what will happen, but only after the FYROM problem is resolved to Greece's liking, not matter what that fellow Bush and his silly little squawking Sec. Rice say. Whether Greece is in NATO or not, no country called “Macedonia” will be a member of NATO

Are you or your loved ones ready to go over to the Balkans to die for Mohammedanism and Albanian irredentism, TGJ?

You are in fantasyland. First of all, Russia is not coming. Secondly, Greece is not stupid enough to drop out of NATO.

Americans don't fight for foreign agendas. We fight for each other. The American soldiers in Kosovo are my brothers in arms, and anyone who fights against them is my enemy. Loyal Americans will see it they same way.

By the way, Russia says that NATO has violated international law and the UN resolution 1244. So why is Greece still participating in this illegal action? Russia says that the EULEX mission is against the law too. So why does Greece support it?

“Secondly, Greece is not stupid enough to drop out of NATO.”

Soon enough it will be impossible for Greece to stay in NATO, if only because the Greek people of all political persuasions will demand a break. There is absolutely no point in Greece remaining in NATO. NATO is becoming Islamized. Greece will do much better with other connections and following its own interests, not Washinton’s when it comes to Islam and defense for that matter. As I said earlier, Greece would be foolish to trust America. America sells out its friends and allies to Mohammedanism and takes the lead in killing Orthodox Christians.

“Americans don’t fight for foreign agendas. We fight for each other.”

That’s why Clinton bombed Belgrade on Good Friday but called off attacks elsewhere, including in the Balkans, during Ramadan? The American interest being furthered there was just what, TG? Secular America or dhimmi America, the lickspittel of the Saudis reveling in the death of Christians? Is that what our military is now for; is that what you fight and die for?

“Loyal Americans will see it they same way.”

Really? Loyal Americans loath Mohammedanism and everything to do with it. Why would loyal Americans support dying for Mohammedanism? Why would loyal Americans believe for one instant that dying for Mohammedans was in the best interests of this country? Because a craven groveler like Bush says so? God, I hope not.

I can promise you American soldiers will not die for mohammedanism. They will die for each other though, and they will remain loyal to the USA, and to our commander-in-chief.

If you hate America snd our President so much, why don't you leave? Go to Russia. Go to Greece. Just stop stinking up America with your treasonous sedition.

OK...I’ve been puzzled by our policy in this region for many years. Can you explain the bottom line, if you know, of why the U.S. got involved in this in the first place, and why we’ve aligned with the Kosovars/Bosnians/Albanians?

Is this just Cold War legacy stuff, appeasement of Turkey, or what?

I really can’t make heads or tails out of any of it. Seems to me we should never have been involved in it in any capacity.

“I can promise you American soldiers will not die for mohammedanism.”

TGJ, that’s exactly what your commander in chief has you doing.

“If you hate America snd our President so much, why don’t you leave? Go to Russia. Go to Greece. Just stop stinking up America with your treasonous sedition.”

Treasonous sedition? That’s quite a charge TGJ. You know, part of my family has been here since 1623 and we have fought in every single war Americans have been involved in starting with King Philip’s War. As far as I know, however, not one of us ever turned into an unthinking, unquestioning zombie when we took up arms in defense, most of the time, of our homeland. Is this blind loyalty to the leader, a sort of 21st century version of the Führerprinzip, something new in the military since Bush decided to embrace expansionist wahabism?
