J.C. Watts, a former Oklahoma congressman who once was part of the GOP House leadership, said he's thinking of voting for Obama.

I wonder if Sean Hannity knows this?

I've wondered why when Watts is on Sean's show, he seems very reluctant to criticize Obama in any way. I wondered if he was really leaning in his direction.

Well, I guess race trumps principles after all.

I don’t think that race is trumping politics in the case of Williams and Watts. They, like us, just can’t see pulling the lever for McCain. Can’t say I blame them.

You said exactly what I was thinking about J.C.

I always liked him, too, and am surprised.

Watts said he's still a Republican, but he criticizes his party for neglecting the black community. Black Republicans, he said, have to concede that while they might not agree with Democrats on issues, at least that party reaches out to them.

"And Obama highlights that even more," Watts said, adding that he expects Obama to take on issues such as poverty and urban policy. "Republicans often seem indifferent to those things."

Race trumps philosophy?

And how does the democratic party reach out to blacks? What have they done for blacks, other than to keep them oppressed, poor, and dependent on the government?

And now Watts says that "urban policy" is an important philosophy?

__

Hannity AND all of the freepers calling for him to be VP, Watts has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer as I and others pointed out to wayward freepers ; )

Watts and Armstrong Williams now disgust me, you can’t be a conservative and even CONSIDER voting for Obama. It’s like me being heterosexual and considering an affair with Michael Moore.
