THis is another site posting the topic. I think JC is caught up in the Euphoria of the time and he being black naturally would give him "pause". But I'm Greek, and I campaigned heavily against Dukakis.
I see here too, that Armstrong Williams is thinking this also. Thank God, that Thomas Sowell is still thinking clearly.
Note to JC:"I have always held you in high esteem. I suspect that you did not pursue the ladder of politics higher than you did, perhaps because you wanted to keep your personal life private. You're an athelete, doubtless there are skeleton, but supporting Obama at thie time in the life of this country is tantamount to betraying all that you stand for as a man, an American.

Notice to all clowns, idiots, and otherwise dumb. Obama is not black. He is more white than black. Stand up and judge the man on the content of his character. Give me a break!

"Among black conservatives," Williams said, "they tell me privately, it would be very hard to vote against him in November." So to them the color of Obama's skin is more important than the content of his character.

As an Americn of Italian heritage, I would NEVER vote for Cuomo and did not support Giuliani.
As a Catholic I supported the mormon, romney.
Identity politics is ridiculous.

I think this is actually a good sign.
Some people are embarrassed to admit to pollsters and/or the public that they don't support the black guy, so they say they do.
In the voting booth, there won't be anybody to show off for.

Michael Steele, the Republican former lieutenant governor of Maryland who lost a Senate race there in 2006, said he is proud of Obama as a black man, but that "come November, I will do everything in my power to defeat him." Electing Obama, he said, would not automatically solve the woes of the black community. Love It

As we have seen in the socialist party aka democrat primaries, in some states over 90% of blacks voted for hussein.
Now, who`s racist again?
To: nikos1121
I understand why they feel this way and I do not blame them.
One's heart and one's head are more difficult to disentangle than one likes to admit to one's self.
It's not as if McCain is compelling enough from their perspective to ignore history.

JC was interviewed by Hannity a couple of months ago and he rationalized the Rev. Wright scandal.

I like Armstrong, but what he has admitted makes him a racist, no matter who he ends up voting for.

"Among black conservatives," Williams said, "they tell me privately, it would be very hard to vote against him in November." Perhaps some. But I can't imagine the likes of Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Larry Elder, Ward Connerly, Michael Steele, etc. punching the chad of a candidate based solely on the color of his skin.

I lost any esteem for JC Watts when I discovered he was a big supporter of affirmative action. I am not surprised that he may (read will) vote Obama. Armstrong Williams is a surprise, however.

Since Armstrong is pro-abortion, I never trusted him.

I hope this isn’t true. I am a huge fan of J.C. Watts.

"Among black conservatives," Williams said, "they tell me privately, it would be very hard to vote against him in November."
If you vote race over your personal beliefs, you are not a conservative, and I have no respect for you.
Mario Cuomo may be of Italian extraction, but I would never vote for him under any circumstances.

Like Oprah, this has nothing to do with race.
