Was shocked at the headline especially by reading two of his books which had him stating, plenty of times, that swimming in raw sewage would make him outlast everyone of his peers. I actually thought that he was older than 71.

Agreed with your commentary, Andy. What I read in his books(Napalm and Silly Putty, and Brain Droppings when I was a lot younger) smacked me of somebody fascinated with word-play. He was grumpy and bitter at how our culture has changed, and I find his political views to not be that good, but if you look at the dozens of word-play examples it is obvious that this guy was born to entertain. In a way he was a much more vulgar, much more Liberal Dennis Miller.

RIP, Carlin. Here’s hoping that you can entertain somebody in your afterlife.
