Sex Hags And The City?
The Fashion Time Magazine ^ | The Fashion Time Magazine

Just call me an agnostic when it comes to the fever and the fervor SATC inspires among many women around the world. I simply don’t understand it, don’t get it, and wouldn’t want to have sex in any city with any of those four women.

Ahhhh, but what do we straight men really know? We live by our double standards of wanting pretty women in the boudoir who can function as hyper-orgasmic frauleins and bump booty with the best of them, while on the outside, we like our women to be perky mom types, wholesome and sociable.

Kim Cattrall was HOT back in the day.

She’s honestly not bad looking now, but her schtick isn’t age-appropriate at all.

and being able to have control over a major aspect of their femininity and sexuality, led to an uplifting experience for millions of females.

Somebody 'splain to me how watching a TV show gives "control over a major aspect of their femininity and sexuality" to anybody.

Kim Cattrall was OK in that movie Mannequin, but does nothing for me now.

Again, I don’t believe straight males are this show’s target audience.

A T.V. show written by gay men about four narcissistic, slutty, foul-mouthed, harridans who are obsessed with the topics of sex and fashion who just happen to talk and behave like narcissistic, foul-mouthed, slutty, gay men who are obsessed with sex and fashion?

Wow, I'm shocked.

“The film should have a Lesbian sub plot involving comely looking women engaging in an occasional lip lock.”

Since I’ve never watched one episode of “Sex and the City,” does this mean that heterosexuals gave rise to all the queers coming out of the closets?

That article was NOT written by a straight man. Regardless of his protestations to the contrary.

Just gotta weigh in on this. I've never gotten this show, didn't find the lifestyle depicted as desireable or particularly interesting. And, much like with the characters in the show Friends, since I never wanted to know or associate with people of this ilk in real life I certainly didn't want to spend an hour every week watching their fictional antics on tv.

The lifestyle just isn't appealing, and the characters are just so vapid and hollow. Bleah.

Now -- Buffy the Vampire Slayer, any of the CSI shows, etc -- I'm right there. But I never got these broads or this show.

I would like to apologize for being so crude. Besides, I could never get that drunk.

These women portray fictional characters. So you can’t “have sex with any of these women” author of this article.

Straight Men watch Desperate Housewives. Unless they conflict with a Sunday night Pats or Red Sox-Yankees game.
