This is a conservative site, not a Republican one. As a Conservative, I want no part of the “reinvented” Republican Party that is just another Left leaning tool in McCain’s hands.
The purist conservatives on our side are a tiny unappeasable minority and McCain really does not need their vote. He has plenty of votes from normal Republicans, Conservatives, Independents and even some democrats that he going to be our next President.

Who the hell made you the hall monitior here. 1st off, why don't you direct that comment to our founder Jim Robinson. He has said some pretty interesting things about McAmnesty, and his positions in the past 6 months. Bottom line, what gives you the right to tell us to vote for a left leaning RINO who has given the finger at every opportunity? Again this is your candidate who just called Nancy Pelosi a hero!!!!
My poltical intent in life is to vote for and elect conservatives. D or R does not matter to me. Sometimes taking bad medicince is necessary to kill the ill. Remember it took 4 years of Carter to give us Reagan. Most of the blame should go to the RNC who allowed Dole redux to represent the GOP.

Hildy, you can bet your bottom dollar that those who proclaim the loudest that they will not sacrifice their principles to vote for McCain would also be the loudest to bitch endlessly about a president Obama. BUT I no longer see the Big O winning. Some who complained endlessly and refused to support RINOs in 06 haven’t shut up yet about the lousy D Congress.

Politics is the art of the possible. Frankly stated, the seriously conservative GOP candidates such as Duncan Hunter would have had no chance of winning the general election. This is a bad Republican election in terms of popularity with the general public.
Is John McCain a perfect candidate? Of course not. But he is one of our best hopes to beat Obama.
Republicans who would sit home on election night are bringing this country just a bit closer to the disastrous result of a Democratic President, House and (almost worst of all) a potentially filibuster proof Senate.
Who in their right mind would want the above to happen?
