It is time for President Bush to take on the "do nothing, good for nothing" DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED Congress.

Call them back for special session to deal with energy. Make Pelosi and Reid miss their summer vacation. Do it!

We can dream, can't we?

Sure would mess up Pelosi’s Book Tour wouldn't it?

By all rights, as a responsible President and a patriot, he should. But I doubt he will. He has NEVER taken a strong, anti-leftist, anti-DemoRat stand in eight years. The nation needs the help, and so does McCain.

I ain’t holdin’ my breath.

McCain should immediately call for a special session, and the President should recall Congress in response...

Maybe Rush Limbaugh can step in and help...apparently he knows the man, and his Dad, and his brother.

He won't. It wouldn't be prudent, and President Bush is trying to change the tone in Washington.

If Bush doesn't call a special session of Congress it proves that he is just as much of a “Let Them Eat Cake” elitist as Pelousi, Reid, Kennedy, and others.

Good post. Bush really should give this a shot - after all, what does he have to lose?

Pres. Bush is guilty of dereliction of duty in this matter. GM and Ford are going broke. The airlines are barely solvent. People will not be able to afford Christmas presents and buy gas to go to work. I think this qualifies as a crisis for our economy.
Sure, he might think this will be a good issue in the campaign, but the GOP should put the country ahead of politics. They would be heroes to US voters if they could get something done to bring relief at the gas pump.

High prices for gasoline?

It's Nancy's fault.

She, alone, would not allow a vote on DRILLING!

Freep her office!
