Good post. Bush really should give this a shot - after all, what does he have to lose?

Nothing. The 'new tone' was dead on arrival eight years ago, and he has been jobbed repeatedly by the fleabrains of Reid and Pelosi ever since. It's all well and good to sit back and say "let history decide" but in the meantime there's a future to be won.
