Joseph Stalin was from South Odessa, which is ethnically Russian. It was also part of the Russian Empire during that time. Therefore, Stalin was a Russian.

Uhm. It's South-Ossetia (Odessa is a city). And ethnically they are not Russian but Iranian-related. Yes it was part of the Russian Empire. And Stalin's father was Ossetian, but not his mother.

In any case to blame Stalin to a people is like saying all Austrians are guilty of Hitler, while Germans are innocent.

BTW my last sentence was meant as an attack on those trying to blame Stalinism on Georgians, while declaring Russians innocent of any wrong that occured in the Soviet Union.
