He has some issues. My guess is that all of his ‘i know a lot’ posts are similarly poorly informed. It is a shame, since some posters will confuse him with someone who knows that they are talking about.
Almost funny, he refused to even address/recognize the pcc/acp issue. I think for him being 100% right is more important than facts - I can see no other explanation for how someone can simply ignore/refuse to recognize the existence of the civil service entity that has operated the canal for >90 years, in its 4 incarnations/name-changes.
He is an excellent argument for FR to implement a user-friendly Ignore list for members.
just in case anyone thinks Rick has any clue about the panama canal/china topic, please take the 5 minutes to google, verify that Hutchinson whampoa does operate balboa and cristobal ports (they do), and then google the entity that Rick refuses to even mention or respond to -

This is the Panama Canal Commission, renamed in 1999. They are responsible for all canal operations, and are a part of the local government civil service.
It is really that simple. Panama owns and operates the canal. HW operates 2 ports. Rick claims that the 2 ports constitute ownership of the canal. Anyone with a basic grasp of logic would see the fallacy here, and anyone who has been stationed in or lived in Panama would grasp he is a looney.

This has been my very big fear since the beginning of this nut bag’s postings. That was my first and final thought. I am really horrified at those who just read a few postings and considered this nut case postings true.
