Record numbers of Britons are leaving the UK to settle abroad, latest statistics reveal.
In the 12 months to June this year a total of 406,000 British residents left to live overseas, of whom an unprecedented 202,000 were UK citizens, up from 196,000 a year ago.
It is the highest level of so-called 'white flight' from the UK since records began.

The most popular destinations for those seeking a new life include Australia, Spain, America, New Zealand and France.
The exodus is far lower than the rate of immigration, which saw more than 600,000 newcomers settle in the UK, of whom 75,000 were British citizens returning after living abroad.
The combined record levels of both immigration and emigration last year pushed the level of population 'churn' above the 1million mark for the first time in Britain's history - in a stark illustration of the soaring levels of mass movement of people around the globe.
A recent study found there were 1.3 million British-born emigrants living in Australia, with another 761,000 in Spain and 678,000 in the United States.

But I’d still rather see them stay and try to fix Britain and not bring that British style of appeasement here.

Sharia law in UK is ‘unavoidable’

The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.
Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4’s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.
For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.
He says Muslims should not have to choose between “the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty”.
When the day comes in the US - and it seems to be approaching - where Muslims demand Sharia law and the libs are falling all over themselves to appease them, then let’s have a discussion about the separation of church and state.
And why the hell not? If we moved to one of their countries, we'd have to.

Our daughter married one of these young escapees from England. One morning he made us bangers and beans- YUCK !
You have to have eaten this as a kid, and have fond mental associations to go along with it I think; because I cannot conceive of there being any other way to like it.
His parents came over and visited with us before the wedding, and the picture of life they painted in England was sobering.
One night his Dad turned to his Mom and said, Well, I can see why he wants to stay here- wouldn't you ?
Now that you have lost your country, please make sure to help your new home NOT make the same mistakes you made. Learn from history.

I have some family in the Fort Myers Fl area.
One of them is a realtor and she has seen an uptick in interest from Brits who are looking to permanently relocate in sunny warm Florida. The uptick is not sizable - but it is noticeable.
They want to get away from the taxes, the pollution, the cool weather...and everything else that is wrong with the United Kingdom these days.
Plus with the US dollar not doing so well against the British pound, they’re finding themselves able to consider many different types of housing.

Perhaps a lot of it is “I have enough Money to Escape the Bad Weather Flight”?
The numbers residing in Spain, and the countries chose to depart for, seem to bear that out....:^)
How Interesting. Our daughter's future parents-in-law were very impressed with US housing they marveled at how each house was different, and how spacious they were, compared to English row houses, and how cheap everything was.
Met a number of Brits this summer in Germany while they were on Holiday and they feel their Country is turning into a Muslim State.
Most said they would leave if they could. Some claim they are scared to even go to Heathrow or London for fear of being attacked.
Most have moved to the suburbs or small towns to escape the ever growing chaos in their Country.
Some of the stories they told us about life in the UK were very scary.
Interesting. I hope its not a glimpse into the future of the U.S. under Obama.
