Fox News setting up to cover the DNC in Denver got an unexpected shower early Monday after a sprinkler system discharged its water all over their equipment.
Sprinklers went off in the Fox Network convention broadcast booth as the crew was setting up its equipment.
Firefighters who responded believe the news crews broadcast lights were too close to the sprinkler heads and set off the system.
The incident was caught on tape.
The booth is now back up and working after the soggy incident.

Union spokesman: “That’s a shame. A real shame. But, you know, things can happen. Bad things. We don’t want bad things to happen, do we? Now, you just do your newscast real nice and sweet, and me and the boys will try to fix that twitchy little sprinkler system, okay?”

Can we make this happen to MSNBC at the Republican convention? What's the point...they're already washed up, no one watches them anyway.

Yes, there is no way a Liberal would ever cause something like that to happen for the ONLY Conservative news outlet...nah, no way. Fox News is conservative? Sure didn't seem that way to me when I had cable. They just weren't putridly filed with bias, though they made up for that with an ugly tabloid approach to "news".
 (Nice tagline, BTW.)

nah, just an unlucky lighting guy. those stage lights put out an unbelievable amount of heat.

To: rface
    Heck, I would leverage this.
Tonight when the Fox panel is on camera, there should be open umbrellas clamped to the back of each chair.
And mention the reason why when coming back from commercial, three or four times an hour.

With the number of idiot interns being used as producers etc over at FNC, this is hardly unexpected, and thus probably not executed by some DNC/DKos "black-ops" team.
[but I certainly wouldn't put it past any one of them...] BUT, we all know that if anything similar were to happen in the MSNBC or AirAmerica booths at the Republican Convention in Minn..... we can already imagine the howls of outrage and cries of evil KarlRovian CONSPIRACY! by ChrissyMatthews and KeithOlbermann.

I bet Anderson Cooper would.

While I would generally take your sarcasm and run with it... in this case, it is pretty obvious - some stupid FoxNews producers and crew set up their lights WAY too close to the sprinkler heads. Those lights put out about as much heat as an open flame- they did this to themselves.
Some idiot flunky tech will probably lose his job...

A union strike in Chicago 1968 kept the media from being able to give much “remote” coverage outside of the convention center as well. Something about the power lines/electric company.
