I think you are right. Kay is not the right woman, but I don’t want her to be called pro-abortion when we know she isn’t.

KBH adopted a daughter 4 or 5 years ago but a second adoption is news to me.

Of our two senators, I prefer Cornyn over KBH but she is far superior to anybody who has run against her.

And that has what to do with her leaning toward pro choice?

The part I like about her is she doesn't have a lot of baggage despite being in Washington for a long time.

Isn’t she pro-Amnesty? And wasn’t she behind getting the border fence changed from 2 layer to one this last Christmas?

I’d bet McCain would love to have her!

“Why? She doesn’t have the experience KBH has.”

So what. The Veep doesn’t do anything except what the President tells them to do (or offer advice on issues of express knowledge - Cheney, presumably Biden)

Since McCain has decades of “experience” he doesn’t need experience as the #1 qualifier of his veep. He needs someone who will rally the base, counter the black/old white guy demo, has limited baggage and is likable. Palin seems to fit the bill on many of these, KBH not so much.

Is someone suggesting Hutchison would make a good President?

Come on, she's a terrible pick, now John Cornyn would be alright.

Any woman who raises five children I listen to.

Hardly the experience needed as POTUS or the person next in line!

If having kids were the criteria, we'd never get rid of Kennedys!!

Mitt having black hair negates a lot for superficial voters and they are the fickle majority

I can see the bumper sticker now: Vote Superficial, Vote Mitt. ;-)

Palin is an executive. She has decent enough experience, and then there is the fact that McCain would be at the top of the ticket.

I think Palin is his bet bet, both from a good candidate standpoint as well as it energizing his base (and lots of women who are mad about Hillary).

Correct........ I think it is totally nuts to select a VP on a single issue which that person will have zero control over what happens....... The base goes nuts over many issues why would they change on this one?

"Kay Baily Hutchinson leans toward pro choice. This will surely come out during the campaign."

For some reason, a lot of conservatives believe this, but it is wrong - her NARAL rating is zero.

Agreed. Palin has: youth, clean record, does not support abortion (Link to Article) ,is against gay marriage (but supports anti-discrimination for gays), is a lifetime member of the NRA, and of course - is a female...who doesn't have to wear pantsuits.
