Annoyed by all the mind-games and leaks meant to divert attention from their candidate's long-anticipated acceptance speech tonight, Barack Obama's campaign is hitting back this afternoon and accusing their counterparts of playing political games.
"Tonight would be political malpractice," Obama communications chief Dan Pfeiffer told Politico. "It's one more piece of evidence that the McCain campaign is a war room masquerading as a presidential campaign."
Pfeiffer did, however, call McCain's bluff.
"If they do it, I will pay all of McCain's mortgages next month," he quipped.
McCain, as Pfeiffer well knows, has no mortgages on the numerous properties and he and his wife own.
Matt Drudge is teasing a potential 6 p.m. leak of McCain's choice on the top of his Web page, creating a frenzy of speculation today as most political reporters await Obama's speech later tonight.
McCain is set to roll out his choice at a rally tomorrow in Dayton, Ohio.
“Tonight would be political malpractice,” Obama communications chief Dan Pfeiffer told Politico. “It’s one more piece of evidence that the McCain campaign is a war room masquerading as a presidential campaign.”
Obama,
GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE, AND PUT HIM IN CHARGE OF YOUR WHOLE CAMPAIGN!
He is too awesome for words!
"That's shoe business, folks!"
That and voting for him.
This from the campaign that said its supporters would be first to know who their (Biden) VP pick would be via EXCLUSIVE TEXT MESSAGE. Instead, the media beat them to it. LOL.
Apparently, Republicans are to adjust their campaign strategies to the wishes of the Democrat party.
So, does this mean the Obama campaign shall remain silent the night of McCain’s big speech? LOL
yeah right!
Nah, he would only do that to the likes of Rush, Sean, Mike, etc. They are the only ones he’s interested in “screwing over.”
I guess that is what McCain gets by issuing his congratulations video to Barack tonight. Or maybe... the congrats video was a little twist of the knife after this was issued from BO? Makes Barry seem itty-bitty(er)
Hilarious! These MASTER HYPOCRITES saying that, (title) is like stating Bill Clinton is an honest man.
That was my FIRST thought - a total set-up.
Like many here on FR I’m no fan of Sen. McCain (though I am leaning towards holding my nose and voting for him given the alternative); I have to admit I was very skeptical of the McCain campaign strategy of picking a VP nominee so soon after the big Obama speech...BUT I have to admit the way things have played out today I think they have proven to be right in their strategy. All of the leaks today of possible VP names and speculation have indeed done their job of distracting media attention away from the Obama speech AND appear to have done their job in throwing the Obama campaign off its game;
I think the drip, drip, drip of leaks and planted stories have worked quite well, and regardless of who he chooses we’ll soon see that the McCain campaign will successfully blunt some of the Obama momentum coming out of tonight’s speech. Kudos to his Campaign strategists!
Is Obambi having a hissie fit?
These guys are such freakin dopeholes.
“Tonight would be political malpractice,” Obama communications chief Dan Pfeiffer told Politico. “It’s one more piece of evidence that the McCain campaign is a war room masquerading as a presidential campaign.”
It is war and Nobama is the enemy of the citizens of the United States of America. Whatever it takes to keep him from becoming president.
Shut up and get on with your lies obambi.
“If they do it, I will pay all of McCain’s mortgages next month,” he quipped.
Don’t quit you day job, Mr. Pfeiffer. On the other hand, you’ll be out of work in a couple of months anyway.
Boy wht an elitist comment! What the heck is “political malpractice”, something he just made up? This must be the guy who decided on the stadium and faux whitehouse setting sicne their candidate is so sorely lacking in the experince dept. I have thought several times that his campaign was being run by a bunch of Bozos, now they are making up words so it has been comfirmed for me!
spoken like an ambulence chasing trial lawyer.
