Blitzer & Situation Room Sink Into The Liberal Sewer ( Discusion of Gov Palin's daughter )
Strata Sphere ^ | Sep 01 2008 | AJStrata

I just watched the most amazing bit of TV in decades - I cannot wait to see the YouTube version of it. Wolf Ditzer (aka Blitzer) was hosting Gloria Berger, Bill Bennet, Donna Brazille an John King (I believe) on The Situation Room and were discussing young Bristol Palin’s (Governor Palin’s oldest daughter) pregnancy and her plans to have the baby and marry the father. At the center of this discussion was Barack Obama’s call to keep the families (and these personal decisions) off limits. But what does CNN do? They air a woman reporter who ran to Alaska questioning the entire abstinence position of Governor Palin in light of her daughter’s  pregnancy. It was pathetic.

Besides the Duh factor that abstinence works every time it is tried (pregnancies being proof of the opposite) Bill Bennet was rightfully outraged at CNN and Blitzer for bringing the Palin family’s personal issues into the debate like this. Bennett was hammering Blitzer who did not want to concede CNN crossed the line.

John King was looking just stunned and as if he was going to get sick. He wanted nothing to do with the muck raking by CNN.

So Wolf was able to drop his “investigative reporting” on: 1) Biden’s son, Hunter, who is the defendant in a civil suit regarding his conduct of a hedge fund he headed (he was supposedly paid $1.2 mil a year despite allegedly having no hedge fund experience); and, 2) Biden’s avoiding military service during Vietnam by claiming five draft deferments for “medical” reasons? Nah, the pregnancy of a 16-year old girl (who plans to marry her boyfriend) is much more important.

Her business?

Then why are you commenting on it?

The hypocrisy is deepening.

Because I see posts like yours. That’s why. I am responding to YOU. In fact, wen you think about it, opinions like your are what make young people think of abortion as an option. There...I said it... you are contributing to the problem.

What did Blitzer say when it was revealed that Edwards not only had an affair, and produced a love child, but that Edwards was paying her 18K per month from his campaign funds for “services rendered” as a photographer, who hasn’t taken a picture of Edwards in a year?

Yet he was drooling and slobbering over this 17 year old girl’s pregnancy?

As I have ofter heard, mothers are more dangerous and defensive when a “wounded” child is attacked. Blitzer may have just delivered millions of women voters to Palin

One post. From last week.

That’s all I’m asking.

Let me take this one step further.

If it were not for liberal blogger scum who were minutes away from exposing this scandal....

McCain/Palin would still be in denial.

"The only comfort is that the MSM must be so terrified by Palin that they have to quickly destroy her "

Take if from a former opponent of Sarah Palin. If she comes after you, better get on your knees and pray

I didn’t give an opinion one way or another on the pregnancy.

I commented on your comments.

Good question.

Forgiveness. For the daughter.

And forgiveness for McCain and Palin for not being upfront last week as they announced the candidacy. But failed to announce this pregnancy.

I see, McCain should have had a press conference and told everyone “I have decided on a running mate, but uh.......she has a pregnant teen daughter. Is that ok with you all??”

Come on, he knew about it, so they knew it would come out, and were probably quite prepared for it. I for one, do not allow the media to dictate to me what I should or should not be upset about. I have a mind of my own, and it tells me Palin was a great choice.

You make an interesting point. The media was soooo interested in reporting about Gustav, that the Republican Convention abbreviated activities to focus on the natural disaster. Now the media has a problem: they can’t demagogue against the Repubs for having the convention in the middle of a national disaster, but they don’t want to focus too much attention on Bobby Jindal either. So they focus on the “important” topic of Palin’s pregnant daughter.

If McCain had any cajones, he’d get on the camera tomorrow and say, since you morons don’t want to report on the hurricane, we are going to resume the Republican National Convention so we can resume the discussion of real issues and why America would be absolutely insane to vote for the coke head and the plagiarizer with the bad hair plugs.
