Comedian Bill Maher cracked a tasteless “joke” involving Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s Down syndrome child — and referred to the Alaska governor as a “stewardess.”
In the monologue of his most recent HBO show, Maher noted that Palin has five children including an infant “that has Down syndrome. She had it when she was 43 years old. And it looks a lot like John Edwards.”

This does sound more like an insult against Edwards. Though I hope some advocates for special children will speak out against Maher anyway. If he makes any more wisecracks about Sarah, I would like to see Mr. Palin be like Harry Truman and threaten Bill with some harm if he doesn’t knock it off.

I despise Maher, and Ann Coulters appearances on his program cause me to wonder about her bonafides.
I love Annie, but she should not be giving this A$$hole such a prominent position in the media by occasionally showing up on his program.
