The border - one of a few huge weaknesses with McCain, that he continually fails to address in his speeches. This is one of a few areas where he has definitely NOT worked for the American people, but rather against them (The McCain-Kennedy Immigration Reform Bill).

Not too many Senators getting raped, robbed or run over by illegals. On the other hand, like McCain, Mitt, et al. many have many homes that need maids and landscaping. Americans are expensive when compared to illegals.
Regardless of party this is an elite class issue that doesn't like paying what Americans want, and loves the ease and quiet serf(ish)ness of illegals. "They're SOOooo polite and quiet, and I asked our gated community's armed guards and they say there is never a problem with the little darlings!"

Another area is McCain-Feingold assault on the First Amendment. Just a couple of months ago, McCain was still advocating that 527s should be outlawed.
McCain-Kennedy and McCain-Feingold are to mountains McCain will have to climb. I still do not trust him.
