BERKELEY, CA (KGO) -- The final showdown is unfolding at UC Berkeley. As campus police move in on the tree sitters occupying the last of the remaining trees. There have been many violent confrontations between police and protestors.
Objects thrown, weapons drawn, people arrested - it's all going down right now at UC Berkeley. Campus police in a cherry-picker are actively trying to get the tree sitters down from their perch in a redwood tree. A dramatic ending to the nearly two-year protest over the removal of trees to build a new university sports complex.

Nah, books and concerts actually have beneficial effects on society. However, watching various OCD rituals of ball throwing only leads our children down the OCD ball throwing ritual path. Just think about how many of them are hurt or even killed in the ball throwing rituals. I’m left only to conclude that sports are a dangerous, addictive product marketed to our children by Big Sport. Therefore, not only should we leave the trees up, but we should also require Big Sport to settle with the 50 states for the damage they’ve done to the children. I’m thinking around $246 billion over the first 25 years and perpetual payments to cover medical incurred costs due to Big Sport.

It's also "fun" when property rights are respected and enforced. The Berkley tree worshipers have disrespected property rights for two years, and the university is finally enforcing their rights to use the land as they see fit. That's why I am enjoying the "extraction" so much today. :)
