Obama over 50%. McCain, your campaign sucks. You had better hope that Governor Palin pulls your ass out of the fire in the upcoming VP debate.

McCain is throwing this away intentionally. He doesn’t want to be President. He wants Democrats to like him. That has always been his problem.

Ric Davis should be fired and Steve Schmidt should be given complete control.

For a while there I thought McCain had a great manager in Schmidt (I think that's his name). Not so sure any longer.

Where is McCain the past few days? Why aren't we hearing from him? Playing the nice guy? Doesn't he realize nice guys finish last? It's starting to feel like his own manager is trying to tank him.

Again, it's important to say that Gallup is a poll of RVs. So that inflates O's lead by about 4-6%. I don't know what to say about Ras.

There is still LOTS of time to make up ground. But McCain has to turn this around fast and make some solid improvement.

I agree, but this would be disastrously late to do that.

no point in going negative while this financial crisis is raging on.
If and when the markets calm down (hopefully, in the next two weeks), they can go back to campaigning.

Right now, nothing would work anyway.

-—”Obama +6%”-—

Wow! In an amazing coincidence, that just happens to be the exact amount more Democrats Rasmussen is sampling than Republicans: 6%.

Exact number! How about that.......

2004 turnout:

GOP 47%
Dems 47% - Dems set record for new voter turnout, minority turnout, and overall turnout.

Yup. I definitely see the possibility of the Dems widening that gap 6% in one election (50% more than any party has ever done - EVER, period). NOT!

McCain is standing as a MEANINGLESS MODERATE.

McCain is 10000000% CLUELESS and Obama is hammering him home.

Obama is saying McCain is Cluless

WE are saying McCain is Clueless
(and we support his ticket!)

Perhaps we should be flooding the MCCAIN CAMPAIN!

This is my Math, with this result shows me that yesterday obama had a really good day yesterday....this is my math i could be wrong...

Sept 25: Obama +7
Sep 26: Obama +6
Sept 27 Obama +5
Sept 28 Obama +5

Sept 29 Obama +7 (this day may have been as good as Sept 25)

5+5+7= 17/3 =5.6 roundup +6

The McCain team had some very good ads over the summer, and they softened up Obama pretty good knocking him off the old pedestal.

I don't think it's the campaign that's failing right now. I think it's McCain himself. But there's still time.

actually, D +6 bias may be too low, with right track/wrong track numbers in -70 range.

Make no mistakes, Bush (and by extension the GOP) gets blamed for the market troubles.
