Armstrong Williams: Sanctuary Cities are a Threat to Our National Security
humanevents.com ^ | 10/10/2008 | Armstrong Williams

"Sanctuary Cities” are replicating disease like throughout the country. These make-shift communities serve as safe havens for illegal immigrants, with sometimes tragic results. Just ask Jamiel Shaw, a 17-year-old Los Angeles resident, who was recklessly gunned down by a 19-year-old "Sanctuary City" resident named Pedro Espinoza. Espinoza, an illegal immigrant and member of the 18th Street gang, murdered Shaw without reason. Even worse, Espinoza was allowed to seek cover for his murder by hiding out in "Sanctuary Cities."

Espinoza’s motive for killing Shaw was imprinted on the two-letter tattoo that stretched across his neck: "BK." The letters are an acronym for “Black Killer.” In Espinoza’s case, the “B” was crossed out. The crossed out “B” means that he has killed black people. For assassins like Espinoza, part of their gang initiation is to go out and randomly gun down someone who is black. This and similar incidents should never happen, but obviously they do. Espinoza, who was also raised in the American Juvenile system, should have been deported early on due to his run-ins with the law. Instead, he was allowed to seek refuge in a "Sanctuary City."

In many ways, Sanctuary Cities are a threat to our national security. Illegal immigrants should not have a right to stay in America illegally. They should be fined, given a reasonable time to earn citizenship, and monitored or deported. Many legal immigrants will tell you the same. After going through the hard work of earning their citizenship, they recoil at the notion of being associated with such activities. Indeed, legal immigrants consider the “Sanctuary City” phenomenon as a threat not only to their reputations, but also to their communities. They will tell you that illegal immigrants who commit crimes should not be given sanctuary; they should be jailed or deported.

Illegals should be deported. PERIOD!

Sooner or later, between the muzzies & the illegals, we are going to have to "take out the trash."

Either we are a country with laws & borders or we aren't.

But, one more bombing in America and all bets are off.

Simple solution: Round up the mayor, city council police chief, whomever and march them off to jail as accomplices to a crime. Illegally entering the US is a crime!

I view street gangs as an insurgency. I have watched tv shows about the prison problems, i.e., they have to keep different gangs separated. Why not round these people up, throw them in a big pen, dump in a load of weapons, and let them have at each other.

I always liked Armstrong until I heard him say he was considering voting for Barry Hussein Obama.

From the last F.B.I. reports I read, there are 300K foreigners incarcerated across America. Imagine how many child sexual predators we could get off the streets if we deported the incarcerated foreigners. American taxpayers shouldn't have to pick up the seven and half BILLION dollar tab each year to incarcerate other countries criminals!

After 9/11, Bush should have deployed the Army Corps of Engineers & Seabees to both borders to build two walls.
And deployed troops to man those walls and then deported every illegal alien and foreign muzzie.

Either we are at war or we aren't!

Has either candidate paid anything more than brief lip service to illegal immigration?

"Kevin Johnson, dean of the UC Davis School of Law and one of three professors at the school advising the Obama campaign on immigration policy, said immigration reform is "a dangerous issue to talk about when the economy is melting down."

“I always liked Armstrong until I heard him say he was considering voting for Barry Hussein Obama.”

Does that mean you don’t like Ann Coulter either...

It’s probably been a long time since Armstrong Williams has been IN a gang or in contact with one, but he ought to check his gang lore before he hit ‘SEND’.

BK stands for Blood Killer, not Black Killer. Crips and Bloods being the primary gangs. The unaffiliated kid who got killed was wearing a high school jersey which happened to be the wrong color and Espinosa lit him up thinking that he found a rival gang member ‘slippin’ (ie, unaware, unprotected, not on guard). And since shooting a rival gang member earns you reward points in gang status/rankings, the crime would have made Espinosa a more feared/respected member of his own gang.

Unfortunately for him, he shot a civilian and the LAPD had to go Hawaii 5-0 on his illegal @ss and his gang status suddenly didn’t become a plus to him.

Curiously, once Espinosa hits a California state prison he automatically becomes a member of the Mexican Mafia. I bet Armstrong Williams doesn’t know that Crips and Bloods in prison are irrelevant because all inmates segregate by race and the hispanic inmates are run directly by the Mafia in Mexico regardless of which country they came from or are citizens of.

but hey, we know so much about gangs since we refuse to eliminate them from our cities by refusing to treat them like the terrorists that they are. No laws against BEING in a gang exist anywhere. Considering that gangs exist SOLELY to commit crime, they are a criminal activity and therefore membership in one is a crime. And unlike the Mob, they tatoo themselves so you know they are members to make ID easier.

It might be “simple” but not likely unless there were an all out revolution....

Of course, we could file a class action lawsuit against the “sanctuary” cities and/or every one of the Lefties in these “sanctuary” cities for refusing to do their jobs...money always gets Lefties’ attention. LOL

If I had hear her say it I would be sorely conflicted. Armstrong said “because he is black”. That statement turns my stomach.

Excuse me but I’ve never heard or read anywhere Armstrong Williams say he might vote for Obama “because he is black”...if you have a link, I would be very interested in seeing it.

I heard him on a talk show, when he was asked, he said he was considering voting for Barry, when asked if it was because he was black, Armstong said yes.
It does not mean he will or even considering it now but that is what he said that day.

Yea, well I’ll take that as a “No, Kelly, I don’t have a link for Williams’ remark”...

But even if your recollection is accurate, everyone including Armstrong Williams is entitled to a lame response from time to time...after all, Obama is about as “black” as my cat. And his mother might have had issues with people calling him “black.” LOL

No, Espinoza should have been shot.

Obama told us they will get drivers licenses. Although that is a state function, is there any doubt that he would issue an executive order giving them national drivers licenses? He will do anything he wants as president. Who is going to impeach him?

We are witnessing the greatest threat to our Constitution in our lifetimes.

How many more outrageous crimes will it take before Washington starts cracking down on Sanctuary Cities. There have been triple murders, illegal alien drug dealers getting preferred treatment ,instead of being turned over to ICE, the ones in SF were housed in $ 7000 a month unlocked rehab centers, where they were able to walk away. I do not understand why the Gov is not calling these cities to account for their attitudes of refusing to deal with illegals, until someone get’s murdered than they always say we are reviewing our policies and still the Gov is not doing anything about rampant crime waves going on as it might offend Mexico and countries to the south of it.
