Barack Obama is a Fabian Socialist

Barack Obama is a Fabian socialist. I should know; I was raised by one.

Fabians believed in gradual nationalization of the economy through manipulation of the democratic process. Breaking away from the violent revolutionary socialists of their day, they thought that the only real way to effect "fundamental change" and "social justice" was through a mass movement of the working classes presided over by intellectual and cultural elites.

I was taught to question everyone--my president, my priest and my parents. Well, almost everyone. I wasn't supposed to question the Fabian intellectuals themselves. That's the Fabian MO, relentless cultural and journalistic attacks on everything that is, and then a hard pitch for the hope of what might be.

That's Obama's world.

He's telling the truth when he says that he doesn't agree with Bill Ayers' violent bombing tactics, but it's a tactical disagreement. Why use dynamite when mass media and community organizing work so much better? Who needs Molotov when you've got Saul Alinski?

So here is the playbook: The left will identify, freeze, personalize and polarize an industry, probably health care. It will attempt to nationalize one-fifth of the U.S. economy through legislative action. They will focus, as Lenin did, on the "commanding heights" of the economy, not the little guy.

The old system will be forced to subsidize the new system and there will be a gradual shift from the former to the latter.

The most plausible scenario I have seen for how the future will unfold if Obama wins.

True, Obama is a Fabian socialist.

And tomorrow morning? We’ll be calling him Mr. President-Elect.

I voted today for John McCain and I’ll vote in 2012 for Sarah Palin.

Hold on to your principles during the next four years, FREEPERS! We’re going to be fighting against gun control, nationalizing medical care, nationalizing daycare, the abolition of private schools (with exceptions for Orthodox Jewish and Muslim), and increased property taxes - increases in all taxes, actually.

Stand by for action.

And force the Military vote count. I would set up states so that no voting could take place until the Military votes have been counted and recorded. In fact, have the Military count the votes for the candidates before they are sent in so they know that the votes have been given to the right candidate. Once this is done, then allow the States to vote. All this could be handled very easily.

Great article - deftly lays out the plans for a slow, steady, crushing Socialist steamroller.

Watch out America if he wins.....

Fabian Socialist, Dion Socialist, Elvis Socialist... call it what you like. The Dems have been practicing it since 1933 with FDR and the New Deal. In America we call it, incremental liberalism.

"The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened."

~~~ Norman Thomas, six-time Socialist Party presidential candidate and one of the founders of the ACLU.
Assuming of course that there will be an election in 2012, and that other than "approved" candidates will be allowed. Can't have "enemies of the people" running for election, now can they?
The Dems have been practicing it since 1933 with FDR and the New Deal. In America we call it, incremental liberalism.
More like since Wilson, that's when they got the power to fund all this through the income tax (which would of course only apply to The Rich, and even then rates would never except a few percent). Also they began the destruction of federalism, via direct election of Senators. Later, under FDR, they decided that actually amending the Constitution would usually be too difficult, and so they packed the Court to interpret the Interstate Commerce clause to mean they could do whatever the heck they wanted.
