Karl Rove, the man widely credited with engineering President Bush's two successful White House bids, is out with a new map showing the Illinois senator will take the White House in an Electoral College landslide, winning 338 votes to John McCain's 200. That would be the largest Electoral College victory since 1996, when Bill Clinton defeated Bob Dole in a 379-159 rout.

This story has been around so long it’s beginning to smell. With any luck , Rove , Zogby , Gallup etc. will be finished after tonite. It’s clear now that these guys are relying on out of date models .

why doesn’t rove keep his trap shut... i swear, for weeks now him and many FOX folks have been slowly gulping the koolaid for obama... its one thing to be realistic, its another to continually leave no opening for the polls being in error and just buying into this stuff hook line and sinker....

Election ‘experts’ are like NFL running backs. You’re lucky to get a few good seasons out of them before they stop performing at a high level.

Rove blew-out his ACL in ‘06 & hasn’t been the same since.

I don't know what it is, but I lost trust in Karl Rove about 2 years into the Bush administration. I think he thought he could translate Texas Bipartison support into nationwide bipartison support.

He lacks the killer instinct of Lee Atwater (May he rest in peace). He thought he could be friends with Democrats. This has been President Bush's undoing, and doggone be almost the undoing of our country.

We must never strive to be bipartisan. We must always stand for what is right. When Pres. Bush did this, he had total support...

Rove,, be gone.

Is it possible that Rove is messing with Rats’ heads? Convincing them they don’t need to vote? Just a thought.

This story is more than 24 hours STALE! What’s more - and noted above by the astute ViceroyArgus - ‘genius’ Rove did nothing more than allocate each state based on TWO WEEKS of intra-state polls. Whoopee - Karl can use a crayon - WOW! Do you realize how worthless this nonsense is? Obviously not! Fawn on this!

...but as most people know...the search on FR sucks.

I sure don't "know" that, and I've been meaning to explore this complaint for a while. I've never NOT found something using the FR search feature.

Wait, I take that back - when I've done a search and forgot to switch from the default of "keyword", instead of doing a title search, THAT'S when I haven't found something.

A quick "title" search on "Rove" returns four articles on this topic from today, and three from yesterday. Can you give me an example of anything that the search isn't locating for you right now?

No, it doesn't. It just helps to be searching for the right thing.

I’m not sure who hates Palin more...the neocons or the Democrats?

Neocons gotta go. They are the ones that created this mess...

Frankly, Obama is a dream candidate to run against and should be easily defeated, but that isn’t the case is it?

GOP leadership needs to be CHANGED

When he gets over his Rovian hot flashes, I wish he'd shut the hell up until after the election.

This guy is beginning to look like he he's in the tank for Obama, and frankly, it's disconcerting!

This is misleading propaganda - and should not be posted without huge disclaimers.

"ROVE SUGGESTS".. IS B.S. It's a map that combines other people's polls. It's clearly described as this and nothing more.

At the bottom of the CNN 'story' is:

UPDATE: Rove has not made any definitive declarations, and writes some tight states — including Florida — could flip given some polling suggests movement in McCain's direction.
The whole posted and re-posted story is garbage spin. IT IS A LAME ATTEMPT TO SAY ROVE PREDICTS OBAMA WIN - WHICH IS FALSE.

Can we knock this crap off?

Believe Rove all you like, but I’m with Laura Ingraham.

How about we let the voters in the voting booth decide the outcome of the election?

Hmmm?

And, so was I.

And so was I. I was off on my EV count. I had the pop vote:

O-51%/M-47%

EV-O-291/M-243

Pretty close on the popular vote...I initially had O with about 320 EV's...but changed it because I thought he would hold onto Fl and NV.

It was hard to think rationally and to be realistic with all the cheerleading and anecdotal evidence that was being slung around here pointing to the "McCain landslide."
