To the supporters of President-Elect Barack Obama, heartiest congratulations. This is a big moment for you and for this nation. You have worked hard and your efforts have been rewarded, your hopes fulfilled and your dreams revived. That is, indeed, a wonderful feeling, and one every human being ought to experience at least once in life.
On behalf of those who supported the other ticket, for whatever reasons -- and none of them matter now -- I'd like to propose an accord. Let us move toward each other with open minds, open hearts and belief in our collective future. Let this be the election that, despite the rhetoric of the campaign season, inspires every American to be his or her best citizen. We sought Change, so let us change the things that divide us as a nation.

The Obama voters don’t want to move on...what a joke this whole piece is...
Since the Dems waged a campaign to destroy Bush the day he got into office00and continued it even on th 9/11—we shall hit back ten times harder
“I’d like to propose an accord. Let us move toward each other with open minds, open hearts and belief in our collective future.”
So, let’s see, I’m a “racist” and “selfish” to boot but now we’re gonna’ put that all aside?
I heard Joan Hamberg (NYC radio personality) saying that now we must put aside our differences and support Obama.
Seemes to me that not long ago the definition of love of country and patriotisim was to oppose the CIC with men in the field. Funny how things change.
Shove it. Our side doesn't do "collectives."
Am I the only one that has never witnessed celebration in the streets after the election of a President? It seems rather undignified and ungracious in victory to me.
When the local team wins a championship, terrorists bomb and kill Americans, OJ is found not guilty, sure; but never after a presidential election.
It will be a lot worse than a socialist in power.
The POTUS elect is a man who is not at all steeped in or possessed of a reverence for American history and tradition. Quite the opposite actually. He has been steeped in hate and anger. He is NOT now reflecting upon the awesome responsibility entrusted to him, rather, he is glorying all the destruction he will do to the institutions he so despises.
Obama is a man who attacks. He does not debate. The first thing he will do, appearences be damned, is to staff ALL positions, cabinet, civil service or otherwise with lackeys. (Please don't bore me with rubbish about CS not being in his control). These will do his bidding without question. Obama is in charge of all the men with the guns except of course the militia.
No problem on that boat and dental. Call Obama headquarter; they will tell you where to pick it up!
I’m supposed to support a person who has the most odious, anti-American background of any candidate who’s ever run for prez? One who’s agenda is slightly to the right of Stalin’s? One who couldn’t make one statement concerning the campaign without lying. She’s got to be crazy. I’m going to oppose this bast... with every ounce of my energy. I’ll support Obama like the Dems supported Bush over the war. Screw them, and screw her...figuratively speaking.
Can I ask a quick question? President Elect Obama spoke for 2 years about change in DC. As he staffs his team, it’s like Deja vu all over again. It’s the old bait and switch, but did anyone really “expect” change...
And the armed patriots. Getting a new one next month.
Well, this effort was pure drivel.
I’ve got a better idea - how about we do to Obama what the libtards did to Bush over the last eight years?
After all, fair is fair.
That's what I'm afraid of.
I fully intend to offer cooperation and respect to Obama in proportion to the cooperation and respect the left and leftist media offered to President Bush on Day One.
Nope, the media has reserved that name for GWB, and if you call him a big eared monkey, the SS, FBI or some other agency will show up at your door.
Screw these a-holes. They voted for socialism - and this producer is going to shrug, just like Atlas.
Screw ‘em.
Interesting article. I found Anthony’s comment at the end of the article very interesting also. (2nd comment down.)
