This was an excerpt of an email from Harrison Schmitt to the Planetary Society that covered a number of points, but I've chosen this particular one as worthy of special attention.

Harrison Hagan "Jack" Schmitt (born July 3, 1935) is an American geologist, a former NASA astronaut and a one-term U.S. Senator. He is the twelfth person to walk on the Moon; as of 2008, of the nine living moonwalkers, he and his crewmate Eugene Cernan were the last two to walk there.

Anyone who still buys Algore’s “global warming” scam really is an idiot. “The Truth Is Out There.” All they have to do is read it.

Anthropogenic global warming is just about the easiest concept to debunk that is out there. That it has been so widely accepted as some kind of fact is a testimony to the skill that leftists and other control freaks exhibit in the field of propaganda. It is also a testimony to the increasing susceptibility of the public to such idiocies.

I met Harrison Schmidt as a boy. He is the only politician I ever met who did not like to be the center of attention. He seemed to have no ego at all.

The Global Warming Mafia will see to it that Schmitt never moon-walks again!
I don't know all the details, but I heard today that some GW bigwigs did a study and proclaimed that October, 2008 was the warmest October on record. The problem was that their “study” used SEPTEMBER data.
September, 2008 will likely be the warmest December on record.

You know as well as I, the "global warming scare" is being used as a political tool to increase government control over American lives, incomes and decision making..."Well, God Bless Harrison Hagan "Jack" Schmitt! Adult supervision has arrived at NASA! What a contrast to those at NASA who have lost their scientific objectivity and integrity and common sense in connection with the claim that global warming is caused by mankind. Frankly speaking, there are too many "scientists" with a vested interest in man-caused global warming; these scientists are too quick to claim that global warming is caused by carbon dioxide on the basis of inadequate supporting evidence.

I know a lot of geologists.
A few are more or less PC types, but the vast majority laugh oud loud at the AGW nonsense.
“Government science” is one of them “jumbo shrimp” thingies. ;^)

Schmitt was a US Senator from New Mexico. He was a good guy who didn’t like the limelight.
